Been using TIffen filters for decades and they make some of the better values for UV lens filters. The filter serves two purposes: protecting the front element from scratches, dust and finger contact, and reducing the blue-cast UV haze in outdoor daylight photography. I have not encountered any noticeable color shift, impact on contrast and no flare artifacts at most lighting angles. It's not the most ultra-slim profile, despite the description stating this but it's slim enough to minimize risk of vignetting on wide angle lenses. It fits and works well on my Canon RF 45mm lens.
