Probably more suitable for small dogs.
I have a 7-month-old pitbull/lab mix puppy, and he loves to bark and howl when we're not home - or even just out of sight. I got the collar for him, hoping that it would be a pain-free way to teach him to stop being so loud when we're away, but it didn't affect him much. He wore it while we were home, and we would go into another room to see how he reacted. Whenever he whined, the collar did nothing. When he barked or howled, we could hear it vibrate, but our puppy would simply pause for a second before going back to freak-out mode. After only a few times wearing it, my puppy ran into a doorway while playing (he's extremely clumsy) and snapped one of the plastic holes that holds the fabric in place. It's still usable, but sometimes the fabric falls out, and the collar falls to the floor.. not like it prevented my big brute from barking anyway.

What a difference!
I have a 9 month old Sheltie and didn't realize they are considered to be "yappy dogs". Her constant barking sent me on a shopping spree a couple of months ago to find something to get it under control. At that point, the more she barked the more agitated she got. The more agitated she got, the more she barked. The Indoor Bark Control unit made no difference. When it activated, she sometimes glanced at it while she kept on barking. The Thungershirt was totally ineffective. Then I saw this No Bark Collar which did not deliver a shock to her and decided to give it a try. WOW! What a difference! The tone setting got her attention but didn't stop the excessive barking. The first time it activated on the vibrate cycle, however, she stopped barking immediately and turned around, trying to figure out what had happened. The very next day, I put her regular collar with tags back on her. The barking is now under control. She is more calm now and I am extremely happy that I found this training tool. Dogs are supposed to bark but not when it is constant because of everything they hear or everything they see. If the excessive barking should start again, I can just switch collars as a reminder to her.

So far, the collar works!
My 10 month old shepherd mix loves to bark. I wanted to find a nice way to keep him from barking (especially when I'm not home), and so far, this Pet Tag collar does the trick. I've had the collar for a few days now, and each time my dog barks, it buzzes, which makes him stop and look around. And now I can even just put the collar on him in the 'off' mode, and he knows to behave. So it works. There are a few small negatives with this collar. The sound option on the collar didn't work on my dogs; it might need a higher frequency. And if my puppy shakes his head, the collar buzzes. But it is a humane way to help train my dog for a reasonable price (compared to other no bark collars). I can only hope that the collar will continue to distract him from barking.

Works as Described on my small/med terrier/poodles
I bought these for my terrier/poodle mixes. One weighs 23 lbs the other 27 lbs. I wanted the larger bark collars because I worried that the vibration wouldn't be strong enough to keep them from barking. I generally put the collar on medium vibration for them and it works just fine. I noticed that the tone doesn't work much on them, they just make a funny face and continue barking.I was so happy to find a collar that didn't use shock to train them. Regarding the size, these collars are a little loose on their necks at the tightest setting (I can fit two fingers between the collar and their neck) but it works perfectly for them. We use these when we visit other people's homes or rent hotels or apartments so that our dogs barking won't wake the neighbors.

Works on and off
We are totally against using shocking and anything hurtful to our dogs and when my sister found this, she thought she would give it a try. Basically, when your dog barks, it will give a "buzz" or a vibration, less than it equal to a phones vibration, letting your dog know to stop barking. We tried it on two of our dogs. Our first dog, did not stop barking. Our second, our aggressive dog did. When it buzzed, he just stopped and sort of looked around to see what was making that sensation.Overall, it works some times, doesn't others. We bought the large and it's really large. It was loose on our 80 pound lab mutt.

Great relief, excellent product that worked from the first minute!
I have already tried this on a mixed female and on a great pyrenees male (this means the collar was tried on a very large dog) and it really did worked. I tried it once on each and I haven't had the need to use it again yet, for now they've understood they have to behave. I tried it only on the sonic mode but on the high setting. I didn't wanted to risk and having them barking all night again, I don't know if it would've worked on the low or medium setting... I don't really car to try them anymore, high worked and that does it!Dogs did get disturbed by the sound, but that's why they stop barking and the point of getting the collar. I don't like the shock type, I love my dogs and wouldn't like them to be hurt or burned by an electric shock. I think this is the easiest and humane way to have them stop barking and I didn't had to go out and yell at them to stop. This helps on the relationship with your dog.
