PAC LP7-4 L.O.C. PRO Series 4-Channel Line Output Converter with Remote Turn On , Blue

This product worked exactly as expected and I'm completely satisfied with it. I installed it on my 2016 Dodge Charger and I used it to replace a 2-channel LOC (Axxess AXLOCM-150), which was poorly installed by a car audio shop. Before using this new LOC, I could not use my radio's balance/fade and I lost the backup sensor beep. After replacing the old LOC with this new one, everything works as it should again and the sound quality is fantastic. The installation was super easy; I didn't even need to read the instructions because a legend is printed on the back of the device. Surprisingly, it is NOT necessary to connect this LOC to constant 12v+, 12v-, or signal ground. I don't know if making those connections would make a difference, but it's nice to know they're there. The LOC also has an output for remote turn on of an amp, which I did not need to use. Just for reference, I also use an RCA cable splitter to split two of the channels to send to a separate amp for my subwoofer, which also works perfectly as expected. Overall, I highly recommend this LOC for anyone looking to connect to an amp (or two!) while still keeping their factory stereo/head unit.

I replaced the HU, wanted to retain the stock Bose amp and speakers, I'm not sure the Bose amp receive RCA level or speaker level, the new HU has only speaker out, the Bose works with this speaker out, but the volume adjustment is hypersensitive, and with a minor 'humm' sound everytime the volume being turn from 0 to 1. I bought this LP7-4 hoping to correct the volume hypersensitivity and the 'humm" sound.. and it did. Installation and connection is easy and instruction given is simple and clear. This unit comes with a remote turn on which i did not connect to my Bose amp since it already been remote connected. The converter works even if you do not connect the power and ground wire, it is a passive converter. This thing is quite and do not make any engine or alternator related noise, compact size and looks solid, its a plus. It does not sound as good as my stock HU, perhaps the new HU does not sound good.

Does what it’s supposed to but I swapped it out after a couple of days for an LC5i pro. 2024 f350 xlt. Message me and I’ll send it to you to be rid of it. Hate to throw it away.

The plastic around the rca connections has to be removed to fit even the the most basic rca cables. The sound quality was meh at best and it would randomly loose channels. Worst yet is that it was pulling .5 amps when powered off and wired correctly, not much but enough to drain my harley battery after 4 days. I ended up tossing it and using the high level inputs on my amp, which solved all of my issues and cleaned up my fairing.

Bought a system from Crutchfield that put the amplified stereo output directly into the car's factory amp... There was a ton of static and the system was very loud on min volume. This LOC fixed all my issues. No more static/hiss, and I have proper volume control again!

Works as advertised, hard to find the sweet spot so amplifier does not clip but with a bit of trial and error I managed to get it set up properly. Recommended!
