Again, wife and daughter trialled these. The protective varnish is apparently effective in providing a barrier between the nail and the glue - this is a very good thing as it doesn't damage your nails to use these. The glue is apparently better than superglue! My two would like me to warn you to be careful not to stick your fingers together (they use orange sticks to press the nails down onto the glue). It is easy to dissolve with nail varnish remover though so fear not.These are good quality fake nails and they lasted really well - the glue really is great, not one nail got flicked off. They can be filed down to size, and you should line them up before you glue. My wife was disappointed because she has size 8.5 hands (in gloves), which are very large, and there weren't enough of the larger sized nails to do her hands. If you have small to medium hands you'll be fine.

I have been known to apply the odd set of false nails. I never liked the ones that you stuck on with something akin to double sided sticky tape. I can have pinged one off before ive finished putting the full set on! Im a bit cack handed, i smudge nail varnish or chip it, ping false nails off, smudge make up or break my real nails. I need things that are hard wearing. I always got on ok with stick on false nails, they mostly last two nights out (a weekend). I was pleased to see they have given up on the silly stickers and this set uses nail glue. I like the brightish green colour of these nails and the not overly long oval shape.The nails are finer than the last set i used, these ones are definitely better, they feel more like nails than lumps of plastic.I like the size range, i have weird nails, my little fingers have very thin nails and my thumbs have wide nails so in the dark past i had to either buy two size kits or trim the smallest nail to fit but these nails fit all my nails.The best, most innovative thing about this kit is the case it comes in. When you unbox it you will notice two unused holes, first thought is something missing? but no! these holes are made to hold the tube and bottle while you are using them. This saves you having to balance them or hold them between your toes (just me then?). This is such a nice thought and means the packaging was designed by someone who actually uses the kit!About as easy to use as any false nail kit and beautifully designed packaging. A set of nails at a fair price.

The USP of this set is that this false nail set isn't supposed to damage your real nails as much as other products, because of the included protective base coat. Rather than simply sticking the false nails straight onto your own nails, you first coat your nails with a thin layer of protective base coat, then (once dry) paint the glue on top of that (then attach the false nails). The protective layer is supposed to reduce the damage to your nails caused by stick-on nails.However, I'm not sure how much this will benefit nails, for two reasons. First, one of the things that weakens nails is the preparation for applying false nails, namely buffing them to create a key; this makes nails thinner, and doing this every time nails are applied is going to repeatedly weaken them. Second, another thing that weakens nails is acetone, which is extremely drying to nails and is what most nail polish removers consist of; the instructions say to both prepare your nails for application of the false nails using acetone-based nail polish remover and also to remove them using the same product. I'm not sure how much using the protective coating will benefit your nails - and it won't negate the need to regularly moisturise your nails.For sale at the time of writing this review at £9.95.

Quite comfortable false nails. Comes with a base coat which you apply first to your natural nail so that when the time to remove the fake nail comes, it doesn’t leave damage on your actual nail layers.While very easy to apply the nails, I will say that the nails aren’t all the same shape and length - some were a bit longer and rounder while some had more of what’s known as a “stiletto” type shape - and the ones that had the stiletto shape are noticeably shorter than the rounder and much longer nails so I ended up having to file most of the nails to the same shape and length once having applied - unlike some brands, this didn’t come with its own nail file and I didn’t have one handy so ended up using a foot file. The length even without needing to file them (If you can find ten all the same shape) are fairly practical in length that they don’t feel odd on or prevent you from doing daily task with your hands - most of mine were just barely past the tips of my fingers and feel so very natural like they belong to me. They don’t impede on me using my phone or being able to unbutton clothing or pick things up - important if you’re not used to wearing false nails.While on, they feel quite strong and comfortable and have a lovely shine, but they do look quite plastic on and a wee bit obvious so it may take a wee bit of nail polish if you’re trying to get a more natural looking effect. Mine are a rather bright turquoise green which is quite fun and summery.As my own nails have been ravaged by health conditions which leaves them thin and rather weak like paper, the feeling of having these nails on top makes them feel strong and protected as previously my nails were down as far as they could be cut and were still tearing and catching on everything and causing a bit of pain. The quality of these nails is good and they’ve lasted nearly the entire day with not a crack or a fall off.
