Great reel

I ordered this reel for an ultralight rod. I love to catch panfish and enjoy the fight. Usually use 2 to 4 lb line. I have several Shimano's, and they have all been great. This one is a lemon. During retrieve of a lure, the spinning action slows down as reel is more resistant to crank, and then it will all of a sudden speed up. Worst action I've ever experienced from a Shimano. I'm going to take it apart and see if there's something I can do to make it more consistent in retrieve. May be my last Shimano.

Reel does not spin freely. Although easy to use, you should not have to force it to turn. Will be contacting the vendor as I love my other Shimano quick fires and they don't need to be forced to spin.

Perfect size for crappie fishing. Smooth action. Stops free spooling. Great for anyone young and old. Highly recommend this product. More companies should have this type reel in their lineup

I like the trigger bail opener. Makes for faster casting.

Absolutely not worth this price tag. $10 at best. I've owned the larger models of these reels and they are a JOKE! You can get far better reels for much less money. If you just want it for the trigger feature the IXR from Shimano is much better and cost like $15.
