His lectures, many of which are contained in this book, changed my life and helped to solidify my faith in Christ forever! I have purchased several copies of this book for myself, and to give out to others - including my own pastors. I also purchased the Kindle version. It saddens me that it is no longer available. There is MUCH to be gained from reading Dr. Martin's insights.

This book was required reading for a class; otherwise, I would never have looked at it. Wow, what a gem! The author does a wonderful job clarifying worldviews. Emphasis is placed on a Biblical worldview at the beginning, then reviews other dominant views.The Biblical review was challenging. As the Biblical view is examined and defined, it becomes clear that many other worldviews have worked their way into most people's lives, so that most hold a hodgepodge of views, rather than a single, coherent view understood by the person.It becomes clear how mixing worldviews cannot work (meaning clearer views of the various worldviews shows how they are unmixable in reality). Once this is understood, then it allows you to more clearly define your consistent, worldview; regardless of which you support.So, the book went from required reading to being purchased, adding it to my library. Very impactful book.

Dr. Glenn Martin has expounded the Biblical Christian worldview in a masterly way. He gives one a thorough foundation in the worldviews affecting Western Civilisation,as, to quote him, "a Biblical Christian must know what he believes and why as well as what he doesn't believe and why." Dr. Martin challenges us to use our God-given abilities to think seriously about the basic questions facing mankind. He maintains that only Biblical Christianity offers satisfactory answers to these basic questions of God, Man and the Cosmos: "Where do I come from?" (The Ontological Question); "Where am I going?" (The Teleological Question); "What is the ultimate value?" (The Axiological Question) and "How does man know?" (The Epistemological Question). This is not a book for bedtime reading; you need to be wide awake when you read it! However, it is well worth the effort. I recommend it to any Christian who is serious about his faith and wants to apply it to all of life.

This book has been life changing. It contains the lectures of Dr Martin, and that is a gift of a lifetime. I never got to meet him, and actually heard about him from a friend I greatly respect. I got to listen to his lectures, and it was in the endeavor to find a copy of his lectures, that I stumbled upon this book. The book is a great introduction to equip you to engage every person you will ever meet, from a christian biblical perspective. This book changed the way I looked at myself, my purpose and the world I live in. It has helped me engage academics, philosophers and business people with leading edge christian analysis and perspective. This book is awesome!!

Nothing to dislike.

Dr Martin's analysis of western societies foundational beliefs is very challenging. His explanation of history is very different to what I was taught in a "standard" Christian education caused me much rethinking.

This is completely unfounded and insane dribble. I have to read this book for a school assignment or ealse I would have tossed it.Martin not only softens the parts of history that were less then flattering to christianity, to put it mildly, he also rewrote and changed known facts of history.
