it was the best household lubricant I've ever used
Although I suspect they no longer make this, it was the best household lubricant I've ever used. I have a friend who owns a used car lot and gave him a can, which he hides so no one uses it except in emergencies because it's so hard to find.

"Greener", outperforms WD-40--but no straw means lots of wasted lube
This is truly a 5-star lubricant, and it seems to outperform WD-40--when you can get the spray in the hole. WITHOUT A STRAW LIKE WD-40 or 22 other lubricant products that give you that mission-critical straw, you will waste a lot of product. How can someone come up with such a great lubricant not even design a straw for precision spraying? Think about it. This is for lubricating locks, hinges, those tight areas in nuts and bolts. ALL of these tasks means using that straw. WD-40 builds that straw into their spray cans.I hope this Nutek provides a precision straw. Otherwise this isn't a very green product if so much is wasted.

A good lubricant and protectant. Works great for removing adhesive residue but needs an application straw. Worth the extra $?
This is a good product that is a greener and more environmentally friendly alternative to things like WD-40. I've used this to lubricate squeaky hinges, lubricate fasteners for easy removal and more. This stuff is also good for protecting yard tools like shovels etc from rust and corrosion. The main use I've found for this is removing adhesive residue from metal and glass. It makes quick work of sticky residue from decals, price tags, masking tape etc.I was lucky enough to find this at a local Dollar store for a $1.00. Don't get your hopes up. That was a couple years ago. I bought a couple cans and have never seen it there since. Trust me. I've looked!PROS:+ Works well+ 90% biodegradable+ Great for lubricating, protecting against corrosion and removing adhesive reside from nonporous surfaces+ A single can lasts a long timeCONS:- Smells a bit funny but not as offensive as many chemical heavy lubricants- Desperately needs to be redesigned so you can use an application straw. I'd love to be able to spray thing into a hinge or confined area with a straw and not all over the place- Difficult to find locally and it appears to be over priced by many sellers on amazon. I'm all for doing things green and I like the product. . . but there's no way I'm paying $15 to $20 on an 8 oz can. For my purposes I can spend a fraction of that on another brand like WD-40. If this were priced at or near the same price as competitors I'd use LubFix . . . but my wallet and budget can't justify the price difference at this point.

Better than WD40!
Better than WD40 (better lubrication properties) and made from renewable sources!

Efficacious on some car door hinges
It seems to quiet the chronically squeaking door hinge on one of my cars quite well.Other products do a decent job, but this seems to outlast the others.I would guess I've tried a half-dozen other products before finding this one.It impressed me enough to buy a can for a friend.

Finally, the garage door doesn't squeak!!!!
Like the other reviewer, I would like a way to aim a little more precisely. However, this product is amazing! I tried all sorts of lubricants to make the garage door stop squeaking, and the LubFix did it. I tried it on some interior door hinges, and it works great there too. I was able to spray it on my daughters door an hour before her nap, and there was no horrible odor. That's a big plus for us. My husband and I laugh because it works a little too well - our doors now just fly open if we give them a little push. Love it!
