Wonderful to find a nice heavy duty ceramic light fixture again :)
One of the few heavy duty ceramic light holders you can find any more, others are of some kind oflight plastic that gets yellow with heat, or thinner grade and poorly made ceramic. These are nicelymade, Ultra Pro is way better then the old time brand that is now made by different folks and not as good.

match the fan with light
I installed it under the awning to match the fan with light. It doesn't look very beautiful. But the quality is very good.

Hard to Find but Works Great!
I use these old porcelain lamp holders in the bilge of a boat for a winter heat lamp. I accidentally broke the old one, and finding a new one turned out to be quite a chore! Glad I was able to find this, and it arrived undamaged and ready to install.Works great and so far, has held up well in a marine environment. No complaints, other than the price being crazy for a porcelain lamp holder!

Knockout was cast too thick
Installed 3 of these onto 3 1/4” j-boxes with no issues. Unfortunately, on unit #4 the knockouts for the 3 1/4” holes were cast so thick that the entire casting split while removing the knockout. This rendered the product useless, damaged, and unreturnable. Nice product without this manufacturing defect, but the 25% fail rate has caused me to replace it with another manufacturer’s product.

Solid light socket at a good price
I bought this to replace a cheap plastic light socket on my basement ceiling. It seems to be well made and installation was easy. I used the supplied screws to secure it to the electrical box, and connected the black wire to the brass screw & the white wire to the silver screw. I didn't need to use the punch outs. The light bulb screwed into it with no issues.
