Replace the batteries
These lights are great with one huge catch. The batteries in ours were garbage right from the get-go. The lights flickered on one set from day one, and within a month they both stopped working. I opened the box up and inside is a single rechargeable AA battery, albeit a weak one (1000 mAh). I bought a few 3100 mAh AAs and popped them in there and these things have been bright and long-lasting ever since. So long-story short...it's all about the batteries. If you're having issues similar to mine, it's prob the batteries.

Needed low light for chicken coop
Fantastic for what I needed. I was looking for a solar powered light source to give low lighting in my chicken coop. Some of my birds are procrastinators and stay out till dark (or sometimes later). They then have trouble finding the roosts and empty spots when they do locate them. The lights on the string are very small and since it is attached to a wire it was super easy to string the lights around the top of the coop. When clicked to On/Steady the lights will turn on once it gets dark enough outside.I haven't had any birds peck the lights and they don't seem overly curious about them which is good. I do not believe the lights give off enough light to provide supplemental light for winter laying, but if my birds do proceed to lay this winter I will update this review so the information is available for anyone who is interested. I suspect they would need more and stronger light though. I added some pictures to give an idea of how much light they provide in the coop.

The perfect touch for your backyard paradise!
Works well. I bought a string in the fall from another seller, and they were nice , but this spring, they would only blink, and water had got inside, so I bought 3 strings of these, and dried out my other strand. All are woking perfectly. I prefer the Amir Solar Powered because they have a nicer, single pushbutton operation. So far, heavy rains and no problems!

bad factory assembly, great lights
I charged these in full sun outdoors for 2 days in Florida sun. It rained both days for a few hours, as is typical, but in Florida, there's still hours of full sun. They never lit up, even once.I figured I got defective ones, but before shipping it back, I decided to check battery. I opened the back up (4 screws in corners, very simple), and the inside of the box was FULL OF WATER.I dumped out the water, separately charged the battery in a small battery charger, dried it all up, then put everything in a box full of silicone pellets (you save these from food products in case your electronics get wet right?). After 24 hours of sitting in silicone pellets, I put the battery back in and it lit again.Very important:there's a LOOSE silicone plug, so when you pull the back off, it will fall out. If you lose this, you will never keep water out, it's what seals the spot where the wires come out of the circuit board inside. So when you remove the back cover, LOOK FOR THIS PLUG and make sure you put it back in. If you don't, may as well throw the whole thing out. They are beautiful. They work great now. They are worth 2 stars because there is no reason a consumer should need to rebuild a purchase upon buying it unless there are directions to do so. It was wet inside because of faulty assembly. If yours stops working for whatever reason, take it apart and check to see if it's wet inside the box, and if the silicone plug came improperly fitted like mine were.

Perfect outdoor mood light solution.
I'm very impressed. They stay lit all night adding a perfect glow. I was able to hide the solar panel nicely too. I'll be getting plenty more I'm sure. They are my perfect solution for gentle outdoor lighting. The price is great too. I hope they are durable I'll like to place them in several places in the front and backyard. My picture does not do them justice.

lovely ethereal look...
lovely ethereal look... they are easy to affix to tree or shrubbery limbs, due to the nature of the copper wire, easy to handle and position... I bought two sets, put one in my dogwood tree next to the patio.. gave the other one to my son in law.. now, I have bought 3 or 4 more sets.. i'm moving to a new home, and cannot wait to add them to the new lawn design/decor... it has to be totally overcast, most all day long, before you don't get any lights at all for the evening. the number of hours of sun that the sensor gets during the day seems to determine how long they last of a night.. sometimes until around midnight, other times all night long.. til the sun starts to show. they are not meant to illuminate an area, I don't think.. I have been very satisfied with them. so pretty.

Got 1 Set, Liked Them So Much I Got 8 More!
I ordered a string of these lights and liked them so much that I ordered about 8 more!CONS:The only problem experienced thus far: One string didn't work at all. Like many of you, I find it too frustrating to return things, so I just tossed them. Assume about 1 in 10 strings won't work and you'll either need to return them or toss them.PROS:* The copper wire makes it easy to wrap these around anything (vertical posts, trees, deck railings, etc).* Solar power means no fuss with running power to these. Just make sure that the solar panel has access to the sun. Our back yard has a lot of shade, so the panels probably get direct sun about 2 hours of the day (in the summer), so far these lights burn for at least a few hours after sundown.* The LED lights themselves are tiny (they look like water drops on the copper wire). Some may say that is a con, others may say it is a pro. They're certainly not big enough to provide more than "mood" lighting, but that is great for our outdoor patio setting.

Updated review. Happy customer!
Would give this product a better review but it was not connected well. No amount of sun would make a defective product work. Returned one of two. The other is working as advertised. I would give this product a 5 star review but they need to do better QC.Review update!: I received a reply from the manufacturer apologizing for the defective product mentioned in the original review. I was very impressed. I had returned the defective string and purchased another. I am happy to report both strings of solar lights wrapped around our old wisteria plant that covers a pergola on our patio are bringing a lot of enjoyment.

Issue when power low
These lights are good until the power runs low.I hate flashing lights so have them on static mode, but when the solar power runs low they flash on and off frenetically and for quite a white. Gutted as NOT CHEAP.

FAIRY LIGHTS ALL NIGHT
I love these, I wish I'd bought more than just the one set. They last all night and during the day they're virtully invisible in that the copper wire connecting is so fine and the lights so small you really have to look hard to see them. But after sunset and all thru the night they're really bright and cheery.

Deceptively Bright lights
The lights were bought to be used as outdoor Christmas lights. Although I'd say that the picture in the ad for them makes them look like a bigger coil than they actually are, the lights exceeded my expectations for solar lights when it comes to brightness and longevity. They were bright each night, following a full charge in day light, and stayed on late into the night – I never noticed them switch off before the sun came up! They also covered what I needed them to cover, so they were a great buy all round.

Cheap Solar / Not worth it
My partner wanted solar lights outside so we found some at Bunnings that she liked...so we bought a few. They all had different life times and would change randomly in different light modes. She returned them and got another batch of 8 but again same issue. Bought new batteries and charged accordingly but same issue. These lights use the same solar module as those lights but after reviews bought one to try out. Although saddened to see them using the same module gave them a shot...and same issue. Lasted maybe 1.5 hours and would start blinking about an hour in...they are now in the trash.Happy other people have had good experiences but I personally will never buy another product that uses that solar module. I have had other solar lights in the past and were very happy with them...with them lasting years.Oh well and good luck.

Good value for money.
Great lights. Received today and setup around a pine tree in the yard. Nice warm glowing light and the solar panel is of decent quality.I have purchased similar lights from a local hardware store for twice the price of the same quality.
