I think it's a nifty little machine that does the basics. Yes it's not mega fast or has a shedload of storage, but it does what it says on the tin and ideal for browsing, streaming, word processing and basic games. The usable memory issue you can get around in the BIOS where you get the full 2GB which makes a lot of difference in speed. Very impressed.

I bought this for streaming films to a TV. The device failed on tow counts: * extremely slow working with the my network - films buffering and stopping. I have no such problems with a similarly powered Raspberry Pi on the same network * the fan on the device was SO NOISY that it made the room unpleasant to be in and disturbed the sound of the TV. Nice idea - but not well enough executed. Perhaps if they spent a bit less on the fancy packaging it would be more value for money.

I bought this to occasionally take away with me in place of a laptop for the odd bit of email and logging into work remotely. It does all of this but is very slow and I would say that you are probably best to get a 4gb Mini PC which I know from experience is much more effective and considerably faster at just about everything. Hard to know who this is aimed at, its a little bit of a toy really. I did have it away last week and for some reason it dropped the connection to work several times when trying to compose and send an email. To be fair I am not clear whether this was the broadband in the Hebrides or the PC or a combination of the two. I shall try the same task from home this week and update the review if it works more effectively here.

I'm very impressed with this PC stick it works just like a computer when connected to a TV. We use a wireless TV keyboard which plugs into this via USB and Bluetooth and it's a great combo. The fan is a bit noisy when you aren't playing or watching anything, I thought someone was using the vaccuum cleaner upstairs the first time but it's impressive for something so small to do what it does. We also needed a HDMI extender cable as our TV was a bit bulky round the back resulting in the stick not fitting originally but if you have one which is flatter around the back near the HDMI cable you should be fine.

This is not a replacement for your laptop but it is an exceptional device. It does need updating as soon as you it - well mine did. It is not as fast as my i7 laptop but I did not expect that. I have mine running 24/7 as a control PC for a NAS box and network.

First one received didn’t work at all, having remained in a perpetual cycle of rebooting. Amazon have sent out a replacement, the performance of which leaves much to be desired. Streaming is has significant lag despite good connection speeds of over 20Mb/s. The windows interface is excellent but a desktop replacement this is not. Probably suited to mac enthusiasts who need a Windows PC backup for whatever reason. Biggest issue with this is the very noisy fan. Would suggest biting the bullet and putting the £100 towards a real computer or surface pro if considering a windows platform.

great value for money. I am in bed a lot of the time, due to the illness, fibromyalgia, have several other health issues also. this mini desktop was easy to install and use. I can use google. you tube and do online shopping whilst in bed. just get a keyboard and mouse and anyone should be ready to go.... only a couple of issues. this is not a £1000. computer. its great for all my needs, but I wouldn't expect the earth. second issue. make sure your tv has the room for this device. my t.v. is wall mounted, so my son had to get a connector to fit it. the device would stick straight out from my t.v. otherwise. mainly, this product is fab!

Beautiful packaging, fantastic supplied accessories, connected to everything easily. Full marks for this. Now the poor bits. It cannot open web pages, let alone stream. I bought for occasional web browsing and emailing, can do neither, gutted as potential is awesome. Amazon should stop wasting their time selling these as I couldn't think of a use. I would liken it to picking your old phone up expected it to do basic tasks, this isn't even that good
