Replaced Craftsman Pass-Thru Perfectly

Nice replacement for my worn out Craftsman pass through wrench
Locking "flex head" is a nice extra feature. Ratchets smooth and with small steps. Longer handle is a plus. Works perfect with my original Sears Craftsman "Max-Access" socket set.

When I opened the shipment I didn't know whether to mount it on the wall or use it. This wrench is a thing to behold. It feels solid, the ratchet works well as does the flex adjustment. The handle also has a nice hard rubber. Gearwrench got this one right..

Much better than the ratchet that came with my set
I've had a set of GearWrench pass thru sockets probably since they first came out. The original ratchet was ok, but the handle was kinda short. Really glad they made this one with the longer handle. I have not used the flex head much, but I'm guessing it'll be a good option to have.

This tool really helped me get at the buried top bolt on my Honda starter. Just the right addition to my pass thru set. Highly recommend!

Compatible with Kobalt
I have an original set of USA made Kobalt pass thru ratchets & sockets that I use extensively. After 10+ years of regular use the 1/4" ratchet mechanism broke. Lowes no longer sells these tools, and I rely heavily on them as my work typically involves threaded rods.After a little bit of searching online, I found that Danaher is the OEM manufacturer of several brands like gearwrench and the original Kobalt pass through ratchets. This handle is a perfect match for the sockets! I am very pleased that I didn't have to buy a whole new set.This is an improved design from the original version, with a positive locking swivel head and a longer, heavier handle. The handle is a bit longer than the original and would not fit in the Kobalt box. That was easily remedied with a Dremel and now my set is complete. I expect this improved design will last for many more years.If you're in the same boat as me, your problem is solved. Buy this ratchet.

I bought this to supplement the GearWrench 8946 46 piece kit which doesn’t come with a flex head wrench.The wrench appears to be well made with a fine ratchet angle. As always only time will tell if wrench is as robust as it appears.

Good add on to the 8946 set
Bought to add on to the 8946 set that I have. Has a longer handle that flexes. Seems to take a lot of torque as I have used it on a few seized bolts and it hasn't broken yet.
