Great watch, quirky app
I was looking to upgrade my four-year-old Waveceptor, only to discover that Casio had abandoned the atomic concept and switched to Bluetooth. I didn't quite like the idea (Bluetooth requires manual intervention and an app on your phone), so I ended up buying a Seiko Astron instead. However, I found the Astron to be overwhelmingly heavy and bulky, not particularly attractive for the price, and with a GPS implementation that was even more of a pain than Bluetooth. I caved in and ordered the Casio EQB-700D-2A.This watch is gorgeous—the pictures don't do it justice. The secondary dial bezels have an iridescent quality and, in the sunshine, they turn different shades of cyan, blue, and even purple. The watch's bezel and center links are polished (mirror-like), while the outer links are brushed. The polished surfaces scratch easily, but they do look stunning.Bluetooth works mostly fine with my HTC 10. The app is... not great. It will sometimes consistently fail to connect, requiring a restart of the app (which indicates a bug in the app and not the watch). Most importantly, on Android, the app sets a persistent notification that won't go away even if automatic time syncing is turned off. Fortunately, you can force-hide the notification at the Android level, and the app will continue to work (not sure about autosync, though). When it connects, the app will immediately upload your phone's current time to the watch, and any updates will be reflected in the watch's main dial. You can also use the app to set your world/secondary time zone, and to swap time zones. Contrary to another reviewer's experience, the phone finder feature works fine for me, though I consider it a largely useless gimmick.I was initially very concerned about battery life, because the watch has a dedicated battery gauge (implying this is something you need to keep an eye on), and another reviewer mentioned battery life was poor and indoor charging couldn't keep up. However, this has turned out to be a total non-issue for me. The watch arrived about half full and it did take a couple of days of occasional exposure to reach "F," but the gauge hasn't dipped since. Just commuting to work is enough to keep the battery charged, so unless you're a total hermit or you live in a place like Seattle, you won't get range anxiety at all.

Solid watch!
This is one solid watch. Love the bluetooth feature and setting the time through the app. Feels very solid unlike other watches now a days.

Ottimo compagno quotidiano.
La sincronizzazione automatica con la app del telefono lo rende un comodo orologio. Buoni i materiali e bello da vedere e indossare.
