Akadema Ambidextrous Glove (12-Inch)

An ambidextrous baseball glove is a rare item. It is not the best ambidextrous glove, but for the price the quality is good enough.

Was worried it might be too small for my hands (I'm 6'4 and have big grabbers) but it fit just fine. Fits about the same as my old glove, which I wore from when I was 12 until now. Breaks in fairly easy, just sprayed some warm water on it and beat it up a little, then after a few games of catch it was perfect. Pretty comfortable, I like the thumb loops. broke in well for both hands.

It works!You have to spend some time breaking it in, but it is very comfortable once you do. The glove looks strange, and the one I received seemed to have been laced in a way that favors being used on the right hand, but I adjusted it and it is fine. The look will always be odd, but don't let that be a deterrent.

This glove is definitely not for any position other than pitcher and I think most kids who haven't developed serious forearm strength will struggle to break it in. However, for adults this glove will probably feel too small as both sides, i.e. where the thumb/pinky goes are extremely stiff, making the glove effectively smaller due to the extra space needed to cram your pinky/ring finger together into one slot.Essentially, even broken in (which I haven't fully done) this glove lacks the normal webbed pocket for balls to fall into so the tendency here will be for balls to hit the "pocket" and bounce, hopefully into the main part of the glove. But even if you try catching with the middle of the glove because that area is so small and the closing mechanism much clunkier than a normal glove since you're effectively breaking in two areas for the glove to fold, you're probably looking at a high probability of a bounce out of the glove.If I were to compare this to pretty much any glove I've ever seen it would be definitely the worst. I can actually catch better by putting a right handed glove on my left hand. However, that would be incredibly awkward and this is generally functional enough if you're just working on pitching. I would absolutely not recommend this for fielding at all as you will just end up incredibly frustrated by the extremely limited performance.One valuable thing to note is that the straps which adjust the thumb/pinky-ring hole might need adjustment when switching hands. If you fail to adjust it then one hand will probably have a finger in the wrong place and then the glove will be even harder to close. Basically, the pinky/ring finger go into the far "slot" together which becomes a thumb slot when you switch. The straps are on both sides to adjust that slot.

So glad I found this glove. My son definitely needed it for when we played in Florida. It was delivered quickly. When I took it to get broken in the sporting good store was amazed that I found one. Said it is a great brand of glove too.

This works great. I hurt my right shoulder many years ago and it's not repairable. I have trouble putting speed on my throws without extreme pain so I taught myself to throw left handed.With this glove, I can switch to throwing lefty whenever I want and don't have to carry two gloves around.

Fits well, good leather. take note that the thumb will not be in the finger after the index finger. you will have to skip that finger and leave it empty. i was stumped by this at first and thought the glove didn't fit but you just have to mess with it.

It is a good quality glove,however it is so stiff and hard that me as an adult can’t even close the glove. I bought it for my 11 year old son for Christmas and I don’t know when he can use it. We have been going crazy with the oil and try to work it constantly. Just remember it takes an adult to brake it in.
