If you want to read just one book about starting a handyman business, this would be the one. I read a diffent book first and had more questions than answers. This book finally answered all of my questions, including many I didn't even know I had.It's obvious that the author did extensive research. It is extremely detailed, in-depth, and chock full of resources; yet, the writing style flows and is easy to read. He gives a step-by-step process for getting the business started, then guides you on running and growing the business once it's going. He also includes the pitfalls to watch out for each step of the way. This will be a frequent 'go-to' reference book as my business gets up and running.If you're looking for a comprehensive approach to the "nuts and bolts" of starting a business, you need to get this book.

I thought this book was well written with a lot of pertinent information. I am planning to start a business of this nature in the next month or two and I will read this again before doing so.There is some talk about saving and investing for retirement, which I personally thought was completely out of context for a book of this nature. Other than that it is worth the read.

I just wanted to see what I did not know about starting a business, let alone a service based business. This book has a ton of insight and I recommend to anyone looking for a good place to start.

Out of the three books I've read on starting a Handyman Business this one is easily the best of the three. Terry covers the subject in detail and sets up a step by step road map for you to follow to get your business going.

This book has several sections where it is worth taking notes and making a checklist. You may not need to take every step they suggest and you may find a few you need to add or update for your purposes but the principles are solid. It may be simplistic to one with an MBA, extensive experience being self-employed or running a business. The rest will be glad someone pointed out several of the details contained here.

This book covers several topics. Some that I wish it would go into more detail on. It is a fairly simple read. For the most part it sort of just touches on each topic and you're going to need to do more research afterwards. But, at least you know what direction to start looking for more info and have a broad understanding of small business startup and running.
