Great for blackheads and even skin tone
Awesome stuff. My blackheads are gone and my skin has a smooth, even toned and incredibly healthy look. I tend not to use it in the morning because it gives your skin a healthy glow and shine that I think most steak eating, jeans wearing, lumber chopping dudes would be a little uncomfortable with. BUT, use it at night before putting the Nighttime Repair Lotion on and in the morning, well, I would say your skin will look like it did years ago, but I don't think my skin ever looked this good so just buy it. I only use it a few times a week and the difference is still darmatic.

and the best cure I’ve found is consistent use of this product
I credit this product with finally getting my skin into a proper and maintainable shape, and I use it every day. I have always had issues with blackheads on my nose, and the best cure I’ve found is consistent use of this product.I generally like much about Paula’s Choice products, and I encourage you to check them out if you’re not familiar with the company or its admirable aim. However, there are two things that annoy me to no end about PC: a lack of consistency and lightly questionable practices in the realm of business/marketing ethics.Lack of consistency: For years, Paula and her team told us that men-specialized lines are nothing more than elaborate marketing schemes for beauty companies to sink their claws into the previously uninterested male demographic. She said skin is skin, no matter if it’s on a man or a woman. So, the fact that she came out with a men’s line was a little surprising and slightly confusing. When you read the fine print, you’ll see that this and the rest of the PC4MEN’s line are not, in fact, new formulations, but are instead a simple repackaging of already-existing products in the PC line. I don’t know about you, but that comes across as a little hypocritical.Another example comes in the fact that PC now sells a variety of under eye serums and creams despite the fact that they claimed for years and years that the skin under your eye isn’t vastly different than the skin on the rest of your face and doesn’t require specialized products beyond what you’d already be using for the rest of your face. And when these products did appear, there was no mention of the previous school of thought the company espoused (which had been quietly removed from the site), or explanation as to why their views may have changed. A little shady. The most egregious example of both lack of consistency and questionable ethics in marketing takes me back to this product in particular and it’s “semi-twin sister” from the regular PC line, the Resist Daily Pore-Refining Treatment 2% BHA. While the two items are indeed chemically the same solution (it even says as much if you dig around the product page for PC4MEN S+S, but, not oddly, doesn’t make mention of it on the Resist product page), the “men’s” version costs LESS and you get MORE. In other words, all you ladies out there are getting screwed over once again, as if the beauty industrial complex hasn't already screwed you over enough. I just never expected it to be coming from a company that itself calls attention to the numerous ways women have been encouraged to part with their money in exchange for products that make bold and usually untrue claims over the years.I apologize for the widened scope of this review, but I wanted to make mention of it somewhere because they deleted every review where I mentioned it on the Paula’s Choice website. Go figure.5 stars for the product, significantly less for the company that I trust less and less.

A step above most other aftershaves
This is not a traditional aftershave, but that's a good thing. For years I had used the goopy and thick lotions that just left my face greasy and oily, and did nothing for the redness. The only thing those products had going for them was that they were cheap. As a guy, I hate fragrances and soapy-smelling products. This lotion has zero odor! I find it fairly easy to spread since it's nice and thin, but the cap is a bit awkward so I occasionally get a bit too much into my hands. When that happens, I just rub it onto my neck and wash the rest off. Unlike many other aftershaves that contain alcohol, this has none -- that means no sting, no redness, and no dryness. Not sure why they are putting alcohols in there other than disinfecting. Alcohol dries out your skin terribly.I'm still pretty young and haven't used it for very long, so it's hard for me to comment on effectiveness against aging. The only thing this does NOT contain is sun protection, though from what I read on the Paula's Choice website, aftershaves with that in it are relatively weak and the protection is only good for an hour or two anyway (meaning you should use standalone sunscreen).Although this is a pricey product, I will likely buy it again since it is non-irritating and has proven chemistry -- not just tons of oils that feel slimy.

Very good
Not sure about all the ingredients - seem to be a lot of big words in there. But works - helps prevent ingrown hairs and blemishes. Claims to be the same as one of their other salicylc acid products; just packaged for men (dumbed down label - doesn't mention % of salicylic acid). Minus 1 star for not listing % of active ingredient.

Great aftershave for preventing ingrown hairs and irritation.
Bought this for my boyfriend who doesn't use any skincare whatsoever. He gets really bad razor burn/ingrown hairs/whiteheads on his neck after shaving, so I bought this for him hoping it would help. He was sure that "aftershave doesn't do anything, and it burns" but after trying it, he was a total convert. As soon as this runs out, the problem is back, so I'll continue to repurchase this for him. The packaging is nice, and doesn't leak or come out too quickly. No scent or sticky residue either. I have purchased directly from Paula's Choice and through Amazon and the product seems to be the same.
