Cressi Spearfishing Apache Speargun

for so much money i expected to get extra grain rubber and cord

I got the speargun the other day. I was at first delighted to know that the gun is a lot bigger than it looks in the picture. It was easy set up and water ready. The spear looks to be in good shape also overall I really can not complain about the quality of the gun. I do look forward to having this gun at my side when I hit the water. Where it lost a couple stars is the fact that this gun is not reel compatible not with this reel anyways http://www.amazon.com/Cressi-FA359001-Spearfishing-Fishing-Reel/dp/B007EIFITY/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1431919526&sr=1-1&keywords=cressi+reel I figured that both of them being the cressi brand they would play nice together but the gun does not even have the slide thingy to put a reel on the gun (boo on cressi for that). There may be some reel somewhere out there though that I don't know of yet.

It's a good gun as far as price and function... (If all you shoot are little fish). Parts are really chinsey material. Third fish I shot was a 12 lb. Lingcod and it broke off the front tip and bent the spear (at the notch junction on the back of the spear). I would seriously consider a different gun if you spear anything of decent size as this gun will absolutely break on you. Not a good choice for Nor-Cal spearfishing. I doubt there's a warranty.. now I have to figure out if I repair it or just buy/make another. The saddest part is I actually like how simple the design was and the feel of the gun... But seriously if I can't even expect it to hold up against a commonly speared fish in my area... it's not worth it.

I picked this spear gun on Amazon.com due to its lower price and quality brand name. This is great for murky close range shots very manuverable around rocks. It's a great gun for somebody looking to get into spearfishing on a budget. You will come to know that the single band is fairly easy to pull and even an adolescent could probably load without any trouble. I have had no problems with it since and have yet to sharpen the tip. This can also be loaded with two bands and has the ability to attach nearly anything you could ever want. It was a perfect replacement for the one I lost, fast shipping, very please

My very first speargun! I got it for my dad who is planning to retire and fish away his golden years. For the money, it's amazing gun. I went for fishing with it and it was great. The bands can be a little difficult to load at first, but they get easier as you go. I have previously used a different product but this gun is light and very powerful. I would really recommend this for anyone who wants an easy to handle speargun. Fast shipping. Great price. Product was as described.
