Don't buy, really nice lookign pencil, however no durability. used it for a month and the thing is comming apart, lead doesn't hold, the internal shaft constanly comes. Stay away/

Great pencil, really. If you're looking for a heavy writing utensil that won't let you down, this might be the perfect choice. It's not the most expensive pencil I've every bought, but it might be the heaviest. Don't let the weight scare you, though. It's evenly balanced and doesn't cause me any real fatigue, although I don't write more than a few pages at a time...This pencil just makes me thing "well-built" over and over again. The weight. There's no play or wiggle in any of it. It's got great style.The grip is respectable, the eraser is good and won't run out immediately because it's actually pretty long. The package comes with extra lead and extra eraser refills. If there was an actual retract mechanism on it instead of being one you manually return the tip, it'd be perfect.

Okay, as a fan of the Rotring series, I was not sure if I would like this pencil as much. I like it as well. It is a little lighter, but still weighted nicely, and I do not get fatigue even from extensive writing. The lead advance is very uniform. It has a nice knurling that is not rough but enables you to keep a good grip on the pencil. The eraser is long for a drafting pencil and works quite well. The lead that comes with the pencil is a little soft for my taste, but I have gone through a whole piece of Ain lead, and there was no loosening of the lead, even when the lead was very short. This is now one of my three favorite pencils - the other two being the Rotring Rapid Pro and the metal Kuru Toga. This is really a good value for such a nice pencil.

I was looking for a new mechanical pencil and was considering the Rotring RapidPro and 800 until I happened onto this pen on a pen/pencil enthusiast forum. Go figure. Anyway, the barrel is solid and the clicky clutch lead advance action is very smooth. The finish overall is superb (a nice bead blasted surface) and the extra long eraser is a very pleasant feature. It also comes in a nice kit with extra erasers and leads and this is well appreciated.I hesitated to give it a full 5 stars only because the gripping region of the pen barrel (body) is narrow and a bit slick. This is especially so because of the smoothed knurling. Looks nice, but unfortunately you have to grip a bit harder than you might expect because your hand will slide down the pencil especially if you have dry skin. This means you may be quicker to tire unless you adopt a quite loose grip and let the surprisingly substantial weight of the pen settle it on your hand.All in all, a very fine mechanical pencil and a exceptional price for the quality.

Good solid mech pencil that feels good in the hand. My second purchase. I needed one in black and another in red for markup.

Was great until it broke 2 months after I received it.

Very thin. Doesn't feel comfortable while drawing. Quality is good and long lasting . Made up of metal outside n inside too.Of course expensive.

If you're a pencil geek freak and like a heavy, beautifully weighted pencil this this is the one for you. In fact, I'm a little bit in love with my new purchase! Worth the extra cost.
