Pure tasting water
Great tasting water using this filter. Be sure to pre-soak the filter upright for 15 min before 1st use. It usually lasts for about 2 months before it drastically slows down in filtering rate. Shaking and rinsing the filter doesn't help much to improve the clogging. Better to just change the filter. The price of the filter is better than other top notch brands and the water tastes "pur". Compared to Brita, the filter is much better and doesn't slide out. I prefer Pur's pitcher design too.

Gets the lead out
Performs better than Brita, in my opinion. Be sure to follow the directions for soaking.

I live in Florida so water quality isn't that great. I triple filter the water. Sink, reservoir, pitcher. Universal filters for pitcher and reservoir are great

what I needed
Well again, everyone is loosing their minds and buying these so that there's nothing left at the stores, because apparently the end of the world is here and everyone and their dog, hamster and parakeet, etc, is going to die. Thankfully I was able to get these from this seller and they work just fine. My water here where I live is disgusting and so full of chemicals; these filters take most of that out. This makes my water taste better than even some expensive bottled waters. Hopefully I now have enough to survive this apocalypse of stupid.

Are The filters supposed to be WET?
Just opened my new package of 4 PUR Maxion pitcher replacement filters, and got a very unpleasant surprise. I opened up 2 of 4 filters and both came off as previously used.I had the same problem another poster mentioned, with random charcoal bits coming out of the filters. Iâve yet to see that before when using PUR products. The final nail in the coffin was opening a SEALED packet and the filter being WET on the inside. This is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary.Unless PUR gives away wet products in sealed packages, which is 1) Unsanitary because of potential to mold/mildew (because moisture in an airless environment), and 2) Someone has likely already USED this filter which is gross (because a used filter doesnât clean water, also donât want someoneâs hands on my water filter) and unethical, I cannot think of any valid reason why this SEALED product should be WET upon opening. Not happy with this at all - especially since I paid $65 to get this. I have zero problems paying for what people ask for, but when I donât get what I pay for - we have a problem. ESPECIALLY when it comes to products that I use for daily life necessities (like clean water). If ârefurbishedâ filters are a thing, this needs to be CLEARLY stated on the product. If I had any indication that this product could have at any point been already used, or otherwise tampered with before reaching me the consumer - I never would have purchased these filters.I am open to an explanation for this, and will update this post/rating if any changes. As of right now, I do not recommend this product.

The best filters I used, great customer service
The best filters I had.Once I had one filtering too slowly. I contacted their group on Facebook and theyâve sent me the replacement.I used to buy them at Walmart before. But works ok on Amazon too.Decided to buy 2 packs, so now I can forget about buying more for 1,5 years.

Flavor
I recently purchased an expresso machine and became a coffee enthusiast, I soon learned water quality is a key part of a good expresso, at first I was using bottled purified water, starting with the cheaper brands, and started experimenting with some more expensive brands, crunching the numbers I realized that I needed a water filtering system, I reed the posts and reviews on this filters and I agree on what they say about the flavor, I can taste the difference between the purchased bottled water and now my home filtered water. I think I'll stick to this brand for a while unless some coffee enthusiast can recommend me another brand.
