So far so good.
Just installed the mirror today on a telephone pole. Our utility company said I could do it, but not to use screws or anything damaging. I ended up using plumber's tape and zip ties, but it seems like it will hold OK. I would've liked an easier option to mount it to the pole than the default bracket that comes with it, which assumes you're going to use screws. (Oh, the screws didn't come with the mirror, btw.) Due to the way I mounted it, it doesn't angle up as much as I'd like, but it's enough to get the job done.Because other reviews mentioned weather problems, I put clear heavy duty shipping tape around the outer edges and backing of the mirror, to help keep moisture out when it rains. I hope it helps keep the weather from messing with the mirror.Anyway, I stood about where I'd be when a car goes by on the main road (while I'm waiting to turn onto the main road from our alley), and I could see headlights of an oncoming car a good 100-200 ft sooner with the mirror. I call that a success. It seems like a good mirror, but I give it 4 stars due to the difficulty of install and limited install options. (as well as lack of screws or any other hardware for mounting it)I had to buy: plumbers tape, zip ties, and 1/4 inch nuts & bolts for my install. I think most people will just use the screws (a lot easier). They have size charts at a lot of hardware stores, so my advice to make sure you have the right size is to outline the holes well on a sheet of paper and take it in with you.

Cheap life insurance
Like many driveways in our part of Hawaii, there is twisting roads and hills which can limit you view of traffic. We bought this mirror to expand our vision, and it has been a blessing. I have gone from having about 50 feet of clear view of traffic coming downhill, to being able to see almost 300 feet up the hill. It has greatly improved our safety in getting out onto the road.Make sure you get the outdoor unit. They are clearly marked "outdoor" on the backing for the mirror. It is well made. mounts easily, and stays in place once you tighten the adjustment screws. The mounting hardware which comes with it is very basic, as there's no way for them to know what you need. There is a well built, offset mounting arm. I bought a metal fence post and drilled two holes through it to mount the bracket. I buried part of the post into the ground and the upper part was u-bolted to a highway guardrail post. it was a quick install. For the $50 I paid for the mirror, post, and bolts...it was very cheap life insurance.

Very Decent product... Mounting is a little "off" for my use.
How many times have you gone to bed and left your garage door open all night? The answer for me is: too many times, so I thought a low tech approach would be nice.I installed this small mirror under our eave where there is a sight line from our kitchen to tell if the door is open or closed.Since the mounting kit was really designed to be on a flat wall or pole, it was a little painful to get it to mount to the sloping eave, but by adding my own bolt I was able to accomplish the task with a minimum of parts. The product itself seems well made, sturdy and for the 5 weeks it's been hanging under my eave it has remained clear, crack free and useful. In retrospect a flat mirror may have been better for this purpose as the convex mirror makes the garage door details pretty small from the view. A bigger mirror would not have fit or would have looked pretty bizarre. I'll probably end up adding a garage door tilt sensor, or alarm contacts. But this is quite functional, low tech and isn't likely to ever fail.

Absurdly brittle mirror 36”
I ordered the 26 inch version of this and it held up with success for years until a box truck knocked it down.I ordered a replacement 26 inch version, as well as a 36 inch version for a separate blind corner. The glass on the 36 inch version shattered in my hands as I was picking it up to mount it on its bracket. Absolutely absurd fragility if you are expecting this thing to survive the elements of Pennsylvania.Perhaps this particular one just had a manufacturer defect, hoping that the new one holds up better. Will revisit this review. Once I get the replacement mounted and see how it performs.

Nice mirror, needa better hardware and instructions
The mirror is beautiful and appears of high quality. The mounting hardware and instructions were poor however. For example the hardware included 2 fairly long heavy guage about 18-24 inch metal bars with holes in them and the half page instructions that came with the mirror states that you should bend a 90 degree angle to mount the mirror on a wall. REALLY? I would need like a shop press to bend a 90 degree on these bars. I found some leftover screws and applied parts of the included brackets to assist with mounting, but i wouldnt count on the included hardware alone to mount this mirror.

Very impressed!
This little mirror really works. My garage door is facing outwards to the street and from my bedroom window I can only see the side of the garage so if the door is opened I won't know. Everyday I remotely start my truck from inside the house and I have to open the garage door for venting purposes. Sometimes even though I use the garage remote, it doesn't open to vent while the truck is warming up, and I can't tell unless I go outside. I decided to purchase this mirror and try it. I have it installed on the side awning post facing the garage and from a distance of about 15-20 feet I can see clearly in the day the full length of the driveway and the garage door. At night without full lighting only lighting from the street lamps, I can also see if my garage door is open. I very happy now because I don't have to go outside to see if the garage door is open.

It's already prevented at least one fender bender
Bought this for the blind right-hand turn on my driveway. Easy to install and works well unless the temps are below freezing, and then it fogs up, and it is pretty much useless until the sun hits it. Overall, for the money, it was a great investment.
