Rota-Dent Electric Toothbrush, Blue Model - 110v

I started using RotoDent several years ago on my dentist's advice. Does not require brushing. The rotating filaments do a great job, better than any brush I have ever used. I used to own the fancy three speed RotaDent, but it was a pain. I kept turning it off or changing speeds accidentally while brushing. This is the basic one speed model and it's perfect for me. I have purchased this product twice before, and now it doesn't come with the stand shown in the picture and the brushes have stiffer bristles, stiffer than before, and they made my gums a bit sore. When I called the company with that info, they said they would send out another set of brushes, but I did not follow through, as I am just using the softer brushes from my previous brush.

I owned the original Rotodent for years now and it was finally going down so I order this one. My primary dissapointment is battery life is no where close to before. I can get 2 uses out of it before having to recharge...dissapointing!

I've used Rota-Dent for years. This model is terrible. It does not do the job as it should. Can I get my money back?

I have used their products for 20 years. This PLUS was my 4th and I was impressed by the life time warranty. It lasted just over a year of occasional use. When it stopped working I called the company at 800-228-5595 and was told that there was no warranty because it was purchased on the internet. My dentist no longer sells their products but suggested I look on Amazon which I did. I guess if you buy it and it doesn't work you are out of luck. Maybe if enough people call in the company will realize the business it is losing due to its' policy. I gave this a one star because there was not a zero. I know distribution is important to any manufacturer but placing the policing of distribution policies on the consumer is a product killing strategy, after all, the company got paid for the product. They should stand by it. DO NOT waste your money.

I have to disagree with the previous reviewer on some counts. While I agree that the sealed battery is pretty frustrating, it's only become frustrating now. I've had my Rotadent for about 5 years now, and up until this week it's performed admirably. The battery is finally giving up, and it won't hold a charge. While this is frustrating, after nearly 5 years I'm willing to drop another hundred dollars in the hopes of the next one lasting 5 years.As far as the toothbrush itself, I have always been pleased with the clean feeling of my teeth and mouth after brushing. It's traveled with me, gotten completely wet, and worked well up until now.While it would be nice if the battery was changed to NiMH, I don't think it's a make or break characteristic.

I am super pleased with this toothbrush. After the battery was dead I did some tinkering on it. I removed the battery and adapted a detachable connector to a special adapter. I opted for removing the battery altogether instead of replacing it since batteries don't last long. I have fixed several of these (only the classic models different colors) and they have lasted for years. Before I succeeded with the fixes/alterations, I unintentionally ruined a few of these expensive toothbrushes while experimenting on them, but it was worth it. They are not easy to fix for those of you who may want to attempt the alterations. love1st hotmail.

I called the company at 800-752-2564 because I found it hard to believe that they would not have ANY warranty if one purchased this item on the internet. Well, as several have pointed out, it is true. I guess if you buy it and it doesn't work you are out of luck.
