Stylish, easy to clean, perfect for small spaces.
Despite years of using the traditional open top or covered w/ plastic entry way litter box, our 4 picky cats took to this stylish litter box in under 2 weeks.Pros:It’s very easy to clean and great for small spaces. We have it in the corner of our relatively small bathroom and it doesn’t take up too much space. What I love most about it is that you don’t ever see the litter since the entry way is curved. The opening is wide enough of to allow our 17.5 lbs cat to get in and out with any issues.Cons:If the cat pees at the inside corners or aggressively kicks up the litter (we use arm & hammer clumping litter) , some of the stuff does end up falling in between the outer layer of the circular base (which holds the litter) and the top cover; over time , this eventually seeps out of the box through the gap between the two pieces (though not a lot).Product enhancement suggestion: Adding a ridge around the top of the circular base might prevent seepage.

Lovely Litter Box!
Most litter boxes are not very aesthetically pleasing, I suppose few have thought about ways to make these things more appealing. I get why, but at the same time I had grown very tired of the giant, weirdly industrial looking, litter box I had. It worked, but was such an eye sore no matter where I put it. I was also so tired of the litter I use getting tracked outside the box! Then I saw this Pidan Litter Box. I gawked at the price, but it was the only one that looked even remotely like the rest of my home. I also was very interested in this little plastic mesh at the front that would, in theory, catch litter and stop the spread in my home. I bought it and once it arrived set it out very quickly. Now, my cat is not the sort of cat who is very picky about most things, so it was easy to get him to try it out that day. That being said he does hates litter boxes with doors, but also wants privacy and this really met both needs! Even my roommate's cat who *is* picky uses it. Both cats weigh 10 lbs, though my cat is much longer and taller than her's (many say he is the tallest cat they've met) to give you an idea of if your cat will fit in here. Both cats do not pee high, though my roommate's pees higher than mine and I've seen no issue with pee getting outside the box through the seams (though I could see this happening if yours tends to have that tendency). The mesh at the front wasn't upsetting or off putting to my cat like I feared it may be (since cat paws can be sensitive to weird textures), and he no longer tracks anywhere near the amount of litter he used to and I use wood shavings!Overall I am extremely pleased and think that the price was worth it for such an everyday piece of cat life. If you are on the fence and have the funds, give it a try!

A great litter box, for a single cat
Who says litter boxes have to be ugly and in plain sight? This litter box is minimal and unobtrusive. But be sure your feline has just one for him/herself. Sharing one of these with more than one cat will be problematic.I purchased this litter box as I was moving into an efficiency, after living in a house for decades. Space would be at a premium and I didn't relish the idea of looking at a litter box that couldn't be put out of sight. This litter box was visually appealing. It wouldn't draw attention and was minimal. It didn't take up terribly much space in a corner of my small bathroom. Win, win, win!But... I didn't stop to consider that it is best used with one cat, and a regular sized cat at that.I have three cats. They are all rescues and I love them. I am guilty of overindulging them and one of them is fat. The other two are stocky. While they initially used the new litter box, it became apparent that it wasn't practical and the cats didn't care for it. Morris, my fat boy, could pass through the opening, but he couldn't easily turn around, so he took to doing his business right off the grate. He couldn't easily cover his waste and would walk away. That in turn bothered Peaches and Shadow, who didn't want to step over/on his waste. While it is a covered litter pan, it can only do so much to hold in odor if the waste isn't properly covered.I've always scooped litter frequently, but with this particular pan, it was much more often as I didn't want my kitties to start avoiding it.One thing this pan was never designed for was frequent scooping. To have a seamless appearance, the larger part is a dome made in one piece. To put together or take apart the box requires lifting it straight up. It isn't really heavy, but it is a bit awkward. The dome piece slides down over the pan, which has a slightly smaller diameter. For normal use, this design works, but if you have a cat that urinates against the walls of the dome, you will be chagrined to find that the urine will leak between the dome and litter pan, thus leaving you with a puddle to clean up on the floor.Couple that with the difficulty of washing the litter pan and the sleek design loses a lot of its appeal. Since I live in an efficiency, I found it was easier to take the whole thing to the car wash from time to time. Otherwise, I was using my shower as a make-shift sink for washing it and didn't like having to wash down the shower to get rid of any stray bits of clay litter. Ick.My advise is this: if you have a kitten and only plan on having a single cat, start him/her out with this. They'll acclimate quickly to it and have plenty of room to do their business. So long as they don't get fat they should be able to walk in, turn around as desired, and do the business and cover it afterwards. If you have an adult cat, make sure they are a normal-sized cat. I can't stress that enough. No cat wants to use a litter box that they can't be able to turn around in. If they can't bury their waste, both you and them will be dealing with the scent and they will become annoyed. And you know how cats act when something bothers them.As for me, I gave this gorgeous litter pan away. I set it by the curb of the yard with a "Free" sign taped to it. In less than 45 minutes it was gone. I hope it is working out better for the new owner as I genuinely liked it. As for me and my cats, well I had to get over not wanting to look at litter and purchased three high sided pans. It has worked out great, but they take up so much space!Oh well, love isn't convenient or easy. And I dearly love my cats.

The Hamptons of Litter Boxes
This litter box is superb!I was a little hesitant at first because of the price, but let me tell you, it’s worth every penny. I was able to take advantage of the free shipping for this and I received my package in two days! There was also a $10 off coupon you can apply to your order. Totally worth it.The litter box itself is great. The lid is very easily removed, and it is incredibly easy to scoop. The grated walkway entrance allows for litter to shake off your kitties paws without tracking it outside the box. The cats have to step down from the opening into the base of the box which is great for messy diggers like my little babes. They do their business below the opening which keeps the stray litter in the box. There is a nice little area to hook your scooper to inside the box for easy storage, too!I bought the white version of this item and it really does allow for proper lighting when your cats are doing their business, but it also comes in a pretty green and a vibrant yellow which is awesome. Who doesn’t love variety! If your cats are messy messy little buggers in their litter box like mine, I highly recommend this product. It’s totally worth the money for the convenience of this litter box.
