Use this for a CPAP when camping
I've found this power brick able to run a HDS Z1 portable auto CPAP with a pressure set around 8 for 2+ days. The Z1 one will not run correctly at 12 volts and actually needs 14+. I set the V88 to 16 volts and the CPAP runs fine. I've taken this set up off-grid, tent camping at least five times.I like that there are a number of charging options. Auto charger, power mains charge, and charging via a USB-C PD charger. I have also used the USB-C port to charge the V88 from a 20 watt solar panel I already owned. When solar charging the effective rate is about 10 watts, making it the slowest option for charging (due to the smaller output of my solar panel.)The V88 has been very reliable and operates predictably. The display gives useful information both when charging and discharging. I like the compact size and it's not too heavy. Mine has taken a 5 foot fall to a hard surface with no signs of damage. I wish the company made one with a slightly higher capacity. I also have a second 160 wHr lipo supply that is air travel legal, but not nearly as compact.

This is a high quality, high capacity battery for people with real demands.
ReviewI have purchased several portable battery packs over the years, which my children invariably run off with. I decided to look for a bigger one to keep in my travel backpack. There are a lot of (seemingly identical) options from a hundred different (unknown) brands! I’ve owned a fair amount of Anker stuff the last few years, but my initial enthusiasm for their products has waned lately as I now have to guess which ports actually work on the usb charging hub, or whether the charging light on the bluetooth speaker means anything at all?Anyway, as I was doing my usual intense Amazon comparison shopping(tm), I saw this Voltaic battery and thought “I know these guys!” I own one of there early solar charging backpacks and in fact the first small external battery pack I owned was the one that came with that backpack. The backpack was top notch material and construction, and the small battery pack served me quite well. The solar panels on the backpack have benefitted me more for the ‘street cred’ at tech conferences than the few times I charged my phones on a remote island in Canada #trueStory.Anyway, about this V88 battery pack. It looks cool. The voltaic logo is very cool. On my solar backpack the logo itself lights up whenever current is being produced... I love that detail.Pros:- Holds a lot of juice- Has a cool status screen for monitoring status and managing the voltage- Charges things quickly!- Nice build qualityCons (or Pros depending in your need):- I now own 15 small adapters/tips to crappy windows laptops I’ll never own ;o)Prognosis:So far so good. I’ve been charging all my devices for a few days to see how it works and I have yet to add a charge to it (it came fully charged)I’ll update this review if things go south. Also, if it turns out charging my MacBook, iPhone, Pixel2, Bluetooth headphones and Pocket size external battery pack multiple times without an outlet is more than I could ever need, my mother-law will be getting a cabin-warming present where the capacity of this beast will be incredibly useful...

Size of a tablet and great charge
You can get one full charge of a MacBook out of it! It is super easy to use and is fairly small. I love being able to change the output voltage. Def a good choice for those not always near a outlet!

Excellent product/Light weight/Fast Charger
Bought to charge my Dell XPS 9380. My computer could be charged quickly. The battery could charge the laptop twice. It could charge the laptop one time and Samsung S8+ 3 times. Really marvelous. Any questions, Customer services are super nice. They respond quickly. Quite often, the charger for the laptop would not work. It would be best to buy this as the charger for the laptop instead of paying almost the same price for the laptop charger.

Battery great for productivity, working on the go, working outdoors
Just got the V88 last month and have been very impressed with the product right out of the box: looks cool, high quality. I'm using it with my Voltaic Generator briefcase (which charges V88 efficiently, even through Santa Monica marine layer). I'm able to provide charge for my MacBook, iPhone, iPad on the road or just use MacBook etc. outside. It's cool that the V88 will charge in the sun while at the same time charging up the Macbook or iPad/iPhone (see photo). Comes with extender cable so MacBook does not have to be right next to panel/briefcase (see photo).I can charge devices simultaneously if needed as well (e.g. camera charging via USB while MacBook plugged into high voltage laptop port, I'm using mag-safe adapter). I plan on getting new MacBook with USB-C charging soon, I'll report on that in follow up post.Pros: Charges quickly and holds charge. Charges MacBook, iPhone, iPad and other devices (e.g. camera) on the go no problem. Has backlit screen to provide real time charge info. Quality build.Cons: None so far

Get's me through the night!
I've been using smaller Voltaics for a few years to power a CPAP overnight when I'm camping, travelling and during frequent power outages. The CPAP is 12 volt, draws 4 amps to start and 2 - 3 amps during the night. The older versions provide about 5 - 6 hours of continuous operation. The V88 provides about 12 hours which easily covers a full night. The LCD screen is fine but it really doesn't provide any more usable info that the LEDs did on the older models. Like the older models, the V88 charges quickly. Full charge in a couple of hours using the supplied 20 Volt AC charger. Note: Charges used on older models at 14-16V will not charge the V88. It needs 16-18 for a slow charge and 20V for the standard charge. The battery temperature change during charge or discharge is hardly noticeable. Older models used aluminum case. This case looks aluminum but feel plastic. I haven't opened it yet.I've also powered phones, monitors and laptops too. No issues.Overall it's a bit pricey but there are very few portable power supplies that can provide 12 V at 4 A continuously.
