Solid affordable flashlight
Very solidly constructed. Gets very bright for its size. Great value for the money. You can read other reviews for how great this flashlight is for the price. Gonna rant now about general safety tips you should research yourself if you want to use 18650 batteries. Disclaimer: I'm not expert, but I did do research prior to operating this device using 18650s and did quite a bit when I started vaping.Just in general, you should always do research when using a new type of battery. Alkalines are pretty straight forward and a proven and reliable technology. However, there are far more powerful and/or rechargeable batteries that we may choose to use for obvious reasons but they come with much more risks. More if you do not use them correctly.Today, we're talking about lithium-ion 18650s. Again, do not take what I say word for word because I'm no expert. If any of this is new to you, I hope it serves as a good starting point for you to do your own research. From now on, when I say 18650, the type of battery that is compatible with this flashlight along with AAA batteries with adapter, I'm talking about lithium-ion.The reason I did research even though I use much more dangerous devices with multiple 18650s for vaping is because I did not want to assume my batteries would work the same in another type of device. And guess what? I was correct. Now while I might be wrong, better to be safe than sorry, and without a manual with this flashlight, I assume it is unregulated. When I say unregulated, I mean that the flashlight will continue to work until your 18650 is completely dead. You never want to let your 18650 get to 0%. While I'm not an expert with all lithium-ion chemistries, I know for sure 18650s, recharging them each time it reaches a certain threshold gets increasingly more dangerous. I believe it's about 20-30%, but to be safe, I'd charge them half way each time meaning you must have a device, most likely a charger, that can give you the reading you need to know what capacity is left on your battery. When 18650s get too low, the chemistry can get altered physically which can lead to an explosion. With my vape mods, I use regulated devices. They do not let the batteries get to 0% although the screen will read 0% before I reach dangerous discharged levels. These flashlights as far as I know do not stop you from reaching dangerous discharged levels nor do I see hints it has any indicators of any kind. While this makes using 18650s seem inconvenient, I discovered after buying this device that there are "protected" 18650 batteries you can buy that prevent you from discharging to dangerous levels. By default, if you choose to use an 18650, you need to buy a reliable protected 18650. It's simply more convenient and safer if you do not plan to regularly monitor your battery. However, there are limited choices for protected 18650 batteries than there are unprotected. While it's hard to say, because unprotected 18650s have been around longer and have much more variety and many more uses, they are much more proven. Companies simply spent more money making sure they put out the best unprotected 18650s because there is a big market for them. Again, do your research and use multiple sources for reviews, but top brands are usually big TV makers such as Samsung, Sony, LG. Through my brief research, seems like Panasonic makes one if not the best protected 18650. I've also seen Panasonic and Sanyo seem to make good unprotected 18650s too but I don't see a reason to buy these brands since the prices for Samsung, Sony, and LG are competitively priced. In the case my 18650 reaches true 0%, I also use a charger that can detect it and refuse to recharge the battery. I also have one that doesn't have that capability and will charge it as many times as I can. If you can't decide which way to go, three AAA alkalines are your best bet. You want the convenience of using a single 18650 that you can recharge and you are willing to do the research and the work to maintain them safely, use a highly rated unprotected 18650. Don't want to do the work but still want the convenience of a rechargeable 18650? Protected 18650 is your best bet. Alternatively, three AAA rechargeables may work for you. Also, if you use an 18650, storing and/or not using your device for long periods of time, the batteries ideally should be charged at about 70%. Leaving them at 100% will shorted the lifespan. Basically, you won't be able to recharge them as much before you have to buy new ones. Unsure if it increases odds for battery exploding though.

Light It Up!
I absolutely love this flashlight! You can't beat it for the price. It is super bright. You can switch between low, medium and light beam. I don't feel any need for the strobe, but in an emergency I can see how useful it would be. I love that there were two flashlights, so I keep one in the car. Recently, while walking with a friend, we compared our flashlights. Hands down, this one beat her brand. I ended up buying her this flashlight as a gift. Since the button is on the top of the flashlight, sometimes it switches to one of the other modes. That is a bit annoying, but doesn't take away from the flashlight. I highly recommend it.

Great value- with AAA or 18650, very small, and zoom at current price of two for $6.99
These are plenty bright for most common uses and small enough to conveniently store in many locations. As of October 2019 I ordered my second pair of these at the 2 for $6.99 price to put one in each vehicle and have some for coat pockets and around the house. May soon order a third pair as they are that handy and affordable and I keep thinking of places they would be handy to have around.I compared one with a freshly charged18650 battery and one with three AAA alkaline batteries side-by-side. Any difference in brightness is subtle, but the 18650 appears to be somewhat brighter. Storage time and duration will vary with the different battery types and should guide which batteries you use. I will use the rechargeable batteries in the house and in coat pockets. In cars or other locations where they may sit a long time between use I will use the alkaline batteries. These are only slightly larger than the super cheap mini-led lights found at dollar stores but considerably brighter. Not headlight bright, but the zoom function will illuminate reasonably well out to 100 feet or so. Indoors, they light up a work space or room fine for most needs even at the widest beam setting. I am very happy with this purchase. I have at least five other brands that use the Cree T6 LED, and comparing them side-by -side this brand was the brightest in my judgement.

Excellent Flashlight!
My Grandfather had a Flashlight practically identical to this one. I dropped it on our Driveway when out with the Dog, it worked for 5 minutes than it died. I pulled it apart and had no such luck, so, I decided to buy him a new identical Flashlight due to my mistake of breaking his. Well, I must say, I'm almost a little glad that it broke because these ZONAPA Flashlights are excellent!!!! A.) They're better Quality, they state you can break a window with this Product, drop it, use as a weapon for self defense, etc...and it WON'T BREAK!! B.) The last Flashlight had different Light Settings as well, difference was, every time you wanted to change the Setting, you had to fully compress the button down, and to shut it off, you had to press through ALL the Settings until it came to the Off Setting!!! This Flashlight? Press it down completely to Turn On, Tap your finger on the button to go to the Setting you want, and then Press it down completely to Shut Off!!! Need I say more??? It also Zooms out very far, Flashlight can be seen from 5 Miles away!!! It's a GOOD DEAL, AND YOU GET 2??!!??? GO FOR IT!
