It's been pretty difficult figuring this out with zero experience. I still haven't found a lighting set up that I'm pleased with. There's clearly more than just aiming the lights at the subject and taking the photograph. I used the white background, one side is shiny one side is matte. Its interesting, the matte side absorbs light, but like, makes everything uniform. I know nothing about photography (I'm just starting out) so I feel silly writing a review. This is my very first time and:✔Ease of Use: I am super thankful of just how easy it was to set it all up. You dont even need directions. Your "studio" is done in 20 minutes. Lightweight but sturdy. You won't be struggling 😁👍✔Convenience: it comes with EVERYTHING YOU NEED to get started. One and done. Even some helpful extras for a better product & better experience.✔Quality: perfect for the beginner and the thoughtful consumer. I did not feel ripped off, in fact the opposite. This is the real deal. Everything so far is well made & trustworthy.✔One Tiny Thing: the lightbulbs. I dont know, maybe it's me. They do send the lightbulbs (4 btw!!) that every article I read said should be used. But they dont feel like natural daytime light. They seem much more cool/blue. But! It could be me.✔If I Could Wish For One Thing: it would be amazing if they could include a pamphlet, or little booklet, about how to set up your studio for good shots; something informative about photography and incorporate their products and how to get the best outcome. (Wouldnt that be so cool, company if you're listening 😄? Send me a copy! 😄)I can tell I will need to "level up" one day but this is great & perfect right now. AND AFFORDABLE! You get exactly what is described: 2 soft box lights, 2 umbrella lights (diffusion), 4 stands, 4 bulbs, a backdrop stand w/ 2 legs and a crossbar, and 3 colors of backdrop with 6 clips. While the quality is not the greatest (you definitely get what you pay for), for what it is it works very well. All metal parts are made of aluminum, which makes them light and easy to carry - though it also makes them light and easy to tip over, so be sure to buy a set of sandbags!Everything is very easy to set up, even when I've done it solo. The bags that come with are extremely convenient, and help store everything in a very small footprint, so you don't have to worry about parts being strewn about when not in use. Very handy when you don't have a dedicated space to work in!The backdrop sheets are thinner than I had hoped, but work well so long as you don't point a light at them from behind. Putting the lights in front, or directly at the sheet (especially the green screen) keeps it from having anything show up through it. My only gripe with them is the fold wrinkles, which have yet to fully be removed through washing/ironing. I haven't had any problems removing the green screen for VFX edits so far, though, so the wrinkles aren't a huuuuuge deal. Might I suggest sending them to customers rolled up somehow, rather than folded? Better to store, less wrinkles to remove - just a thought!All in all a great product for the price! If you need something more robust, for a high end studio or film production, this is not for you. Beginners, or people with super low budgets: this is perfect!

My wife need some backdrop to do some photo shot for fun. I bought this for my wife and she love it. It was very easy to setup. I had it setup in my hearth room in no time. My wife and little girl had a photo shoot and it turn out great. The back drop was little thin but maybe because my room has too much light. Looking forward to having a family photo shoot. It save pay for itself by not having to go to a studio to take family picture.

I am new to photography and recently got into it when I had kids. After pricing photographers, I couldn't believe the prices and wanted to see what I can do myself to capture memories of my babies. I have been taking pictures of my kids for about 6 months now, so I am very new to this and have used different backgrounds. My biggest issue has been the lighting. I came across this backdrop photography set-up and I am excited to experiment with it! After opening the bag, I quickly came to the conclusion that my husband would be good at setting it up. Instead, I got anxious and set it up myself. Putting things together is not my strong point! The instructions were not clear and very simple to me. I searched a couple of videos online to see if I could follow along. Honestly after I started opening everything up, the pieces just went together and it was very simple. I definitely made it harder than what it was. It came with light bulbs. I will need to buy an extension cord to move the lights around easier. I also like the switch on/off for the lights. It came with black, green and white backdrops, which I am planning on taping designs to and they can be very easily switched out. For the price of this kit, it is well worth it. It can all be stored in a duffle bag (which is included) and can travel easily. For $130 dollars, this is a great price. I can use it to capture memories of my kids growing up. It is sturdy and light weight that I am able to set up and move around myself.
