Everything in the kit was amazing the gems are lovely. The stamp which i was really looking forward to using was absolutely rubbish! It doesn’t pick up anything!

**Overview**These are decent little plastic gems, fairly shiny and you get a lot for your money - perfect for a nail art beginner like me, needing something cheap & disposable to practice with.**Amount & size**I counted up one compartment (the light purple/lilac) which came to 198 gems. I was surprised as it doesn't look like that many, probably because they are so small. But all the 24 compartments (2 boxes of 12) appear to be similarly filled with ~200 gems each, so in total I estimate about 4800 gems. Certainly in the region of 4000-5000. Not bad for the £1.99 I paid, and the description at the time only suggested ~3000 gems.The 2mm size is just right for nail art IMO - small enough to lie flat easily even on my fairly curved nails, and to look delicate rather than garish, as larger gems sometimes do.**Colours**You get a nice mix of colours as depicted, but I am docking one star because I did not get the colours shown in the images. I was looking forward to having the two shades of green, but instead I got two shades of orange (in addition to the already orange-leaning yellow). Still a good mix of colours, especially for the price. I have one compartment each of egg-yellow, bright orange, brownish-orange, red, light pink, magenta, purple, lilac, royal blue and light blue. The multi-colour box also includes one compartment each of the same black & silver gems you get in the second box.**Wax pencil & boxes**The wax pencil that you use to pick them up works great, just as depicted, and the compartment boxes themselves are sturdy with secure lids - if and when I use up these gems, the boxes will be useful for other things like seed beads.**Use**I have tried out the gems with some basic nail art, and they seem to stick fine if you just press them into still-soft nail polish before adding your top coat (I use Seche Vite). It took 4 days (during which I rubbed and scratched at them a lot) before a single gem came off, at which point I removed the whole manicure and found that most of the other gems were still very firmly stuck. Glue certainly seems unnecessary, I'm pleased with how long the gems lasted.**Issues raised in other reviews**Some reviews said the gems came out in the packaging and/or the boxes were open when it arrived. I definitely had a couple of gems outside the boxes when I first opened the package but the boxes themselves were still secured so I think those were just stray ones stuck to the outside and not a spillage issue.In fact the compartment lids were so tightly secured at first that I had to prize some of them open with a pocket knife the first time. Since then, it's been no trouble opening them with my fingers, but I can see why some people have complained that they couldn't open them at all - they are very tightly secured at first.Some others complained that they didn't get many gems, only a few hundred. As mentioned above, I definitely got thousands, even if it didn't look that way because of how small they are. It sounds like some people lost gems in transit due to insecure packaging, but that's not a question of a misleading item description, that's a packaging issue.**Summary**All in all, other than the colours not all being what I expected, I am very happy with the purchase. Looking forward to trying lots of nail designs with them.

This has everything a beginner of nail design could want to try, the quality is not excellent but certainly not bad for the price

These gems are great FOR THE PRICE!Theres not as many gems in each pack as shown in the images but theres is a good amount to last a long time. The gems themselves are quite small, which is excellent for me because I only have short nails and sometimes the bigger gems look a bit clumpy. The packaging is OK. Some of the sections were hard to open at first but nothing my cuticle cutters couldn't handle. The black and clear gems are particularly nice. Very sparkly and a good range of colours for all different designs.The pencil picker is good too (I dab the end of mine onto a moist paper towel for extra stickiness) and will last a long time.Overall this product is WELL worth the money. Delivery took about 2 weeks which is reasonable for a free delivery product coming international.I would definitely buy these again but don't know when I will need to as there is a good amount of gems.

Stamp kit pad and scraper not good, rest is fine

Bought these as I started doing my own nails. Only issue is the stencils do not work as I paint over them but cannot get it to duplicate onto the silicone which is ashame. All good other than that.

These are very tiny indeed! I had to put my super magnifying specs on to work with them.Square shaped, silver backed, they lend themselves to heavy coverage designs rather than being used as feature jewels.There were plenty there for the cost in my opinion and as each compartment had lots of room left I squeezed up the clear and the black ones together to free up six empty compartments for some other bits I had in bags.Doing that, the clear and black stones now pretty much fill up their compartments.The containers are really good and the wax pencil was included.

An overall good product. Much smaller than I thought it would be. I use it for eye make up and it's hard to use the tools to pick them up so I use tweezers. Nice variety of colours and shapes.
