I bought this as a little keepsake for my Mum's 50th birthday. I was a little hesitant to buy it due to the very low price and expected it to look a little tacky and rather cheap in real life, however, it really doesn't. The item looks far more expensive than it actually is and the engraving is very subtle, I was concerned that the lettering would be too large and perhaps look a little gaudy, but it's actually very tasteful. You can have four lines worth of text engraved and the character limit is 54 (including spaces), my message consisted of three lines and read: Vintage 68'! [first line] Happy 50th Mum, [second line] Love Mantha xxx [third line]. The particular font I chose was called "Liberty_Font".It comes in a little, brown, cardboard gift box with a black felt interior; this didn't look bad by any means although if I was being really picky I think a little felt bag/pouch with a drawstring top may have looked a little fancier and more presentable, but for £3.89 I'm probably asking for too much. I did still present it to my Mum in the box it came in so it certainly wasn't shabby in any way. I believe it took around 3-4 working days to arrive after I had placed my order. Personalising it is very straight forward - you just click on the "Customize Now" button to the right of the product listing, write your personal message in the spaces provided, and pick your font before adding it to your basket.As I previously said, I think if I purchased this item again and wanted to make it look a little more presentable - and expensive - I would perhaps buy a little, felt/velvet jewellery bag for it (with one of those drawstring tops), in either red or black - but it's by no means essential. I should also point out that the lettering is rather small - which I personally like - so if you were buying it for someone who was partially sighted/a glasses wearer, it would obviously be indecipherable to the naked eye, however with glasses, should be more than readable. I could read it fine as someone who doesn't need glasses, whereas my Mum had to pop her reading glasses on and hold it up to her face to read the message clearly - naturally though, the longer the message, the smaller the font - and vice versa.My Mum has currently got this displayed in its little box with the lid taken off, in the centre of her bedroom windowsill, and it does look rather sweet when displayed in that way. You could of course use it for the purpose intended, I.e. attached to a set of keys or as an accessory on a purse/wallet or a handbag. I definitely recommend this item and think it would be great as a little add-on to a more substantial present for a special occasion, but also good for an event where you needed to buy gifts for several people, as you can't really go wrong with a key ring (regardless of age or gender), and it would also appear extra special because of the unique message attached for each individual.

The keyring is exactly as described. The engraving was perfectly centred. The order was easy to complete and arrived early. Very pleased.

The actual key ring is very nice and also the personalisation. I got this for Christmas gift for someone, and unfortunately got dropped on the floor while the person was putting the key on it, and the bit where the personalisation was written came off.We have managed to glue back together but quite disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised that these feel good quality, no scratches to ruin the engraving I asked for and come in a protective card wrapping. I will probably need some more and I am perfectly happy to order from here again.

There was a post for something similar - engraved keyrings - doing the rounds on social media, but for about four-times the price. I was loathe to pay that but a quick google got me to this offering on Amazon. I thought it was worth a punt for the cheap price and I ordered two - one each for grandma and grandad. Turns out the keyrings are very good quality and the engraved message I asked for is clear and neat. And to top it all off, I ordered these late on 18 December so wasn't hopeful they'd arrive in time for Christmas. Well, they did - on 21 December! Brilliant service.
