software is trash
Hardware appears to do what I expect it to, but the software is bad. Thankfully I connected on the test bench before installing. Unlocking the door worked once or twice, but now when I press unlock, the app enters a state where all I can do is press the home button then force close the app. And no matter what I do (resetting everything) I can not get it to work again.I'm going to try a little more but more than likely will end up returning this

Complicated installation but works as advertised.
The product works for what it says. Was hard to install and get the app running correctly. Customer service was helpful and always available. Instruction manual could be clearer but like I said customer service was always available to answer questions. I paid for an electrician to include power plugs since I didn’t have any near the hallway to power the skyboxes. Rather than having skyboxes in each unit I just had them installed in a centralized location in the common hallway. Camera quality is good. Clear video. Good sound.

Got it working on a prayer but then one day it stopped working. Unable to get it working again. Total JUNK

its a good product and for what other systems cost you cant ...
its a good product and for what other systems cost you cant beat this product from gbf. i will say it took alot of patience to get this up and running and dealing with a few issues. but customer service is really good, both ray and alan were very helpful and supportive.i would recommend products from gbf if i had to do it all over again.

Worst. Product. Ever.
My condo building got the two unit model and could not get it to work. We waited too long to try it so we couldn't return it anymore. The app is extremely flawed, and probably the biggest cause of issues. The customer support was non-existing. Maybe things have gotten better with the recent reviews, but I strongly recommend spending more money and get Airphone instead.

Exactly what I needed, BUT... read below
--Added comment after 2 years--Unfortunately, GBF company looks to be a really small company and they still experience outages too often. At the beggining it was worse, they explain to me that they were moving their cloud network from Alibaba to Amazon. Situation did improve a little bit, but still, once in a while you have these outages and they just don't realize it. I have to call a guy in Vancouver, explain that when someone ring, I don't get the doorbell at all, they investigate for hours and fix the problem. This happens at least 2 times per year and it's very annoying. They don't have monitoring and don't communicate outage. So far the monitoring system for the whole company is me and that's is unaceptable. When the network, monitoring and communication will be better, I'll review the 2 stars rating (I had given 5 stars before).--------------The GBF intercom system is exactly what I needed, talk function, video, door unlocking and I can all do that from my phone no matter where I am. I did the installation all by my self and I had no experience at all beside being able to use a voltmeter and you know, just being a bit clever. You can connect everything with regular network cable. I bought a 500ft network cable box and was able to connect the outdoor station to the skyboxes + the power. I could have use more detailed instructions, but when I contacted the support they promptly answered all my questions. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need more of my input about this intercom. Enjoy!
