I love these water test strips! Great product that can test all the different types of water that I want to test,The strips in this test kit show 9 different endpoints. It is quick - 2 min. and reproducible in 4 repeat tests. The colors are clear, little guessing.

I used Tetra Test Strips and an API Master Test Kit as well as the 9 in 1 to see if the values were even close to agreement. The tests in common were Total Hardness, Nitrite, Nitrate, and pH. The 9 in 1 strips were consistently and significantly lower than the other two. I tested the pH in a calibrated solution, and it never changed colors at all. I bought it for the metals (copper, lead, and iron), but I can't trust it.

I used this to test water quality for an aquaponic system. The color code and corresponding pH test readings on the bottle says 6.0, 6.4 then 4.8, 7.2, 7.6. etc. The 4.8 reading seems like it should be 6.8 to me... otherwise 4.8 color code is too close for comfort.

I had used these many times but the last batch was faulty. It was showing my tap water, which consistently runs a pH of 7.0-7.2, to be under 6.0. You could easily think a fish tank had a pH crash when it didn’t and inadvertently make the tank too alkaline, possibly killing your fish. I am breeding 1 species of extinct in the wild fish, the Monterrey platy, and I simply can’t have this happen.

I ordered this product twice. Both times it came with the same expiration date January 2021. They are tryin to sell a product that is almost a FULL year out of expiration.

I was going to use them to test my fish water.
