Best teaching book we've used so far!
We bought this after our daughters finished Essential Elements 1. Their private lesson teacher encouraged us to get the Suzuki 1 book, which I did, but was disappointed with the purchase. Once a child has finished EE 1, the first 2/3 of the Suzuki 1 book is redundant and far too easy. We are now using this EE 2 book, and it's actually teaching them more music theory and techniques, as well as some nice and challenging pieces. If your child has already been playing for a year or so, skip the Suzuki 1 book and use this instead. They will learn far more from it.

Best Classroom String Series
This is the standard textbook that I use to teach beginning violin and viola. Love the format and the illustrations and I also like the fact that there is a CD available for accompaniments.

Great continuation of Volume One.
This book is a great continuation of Volume One. It is very easy to use, with lots of helpful hints, easy to read instructions and fun, timeless classic songs students will be playing very quickly.

Good supplement.
Good follow up to book 1. Some review and introduction of basic minor keys. A continuation of the first book. I liked the short duets.
