Pandas Love Pickles

Perfect for my discerning toddler granddaughter!
The cutest book for kids who might be particular about what they eat. And kids who have a sense of humor. She and I both love it!

Excellent toddler book!
My son LOVES this book. It was the first book he memorized and recites to himself regularly. It makes him laugh- it’s fun to read aloud and the illustrations are beautiful. I like the gentle nudge to try new foods. We’ve since bought it as a gift for new parents.

Gorgeous illustrations, alliteration and introductions to new food- what’s not to love
We have only had this book for a week and I cannot say enough amazing things about it! From the detailed illustrations to the fantastic alliteration on every page, what child wouldn’t want to read it! The best part is that each page introduces your child to new food that they automatically want to try. We have already tried figs, quesadillas and of course pickles because of this book. My picky eaters and my whole family love it!

PandaPickles abound
So I ordered this for my nibbling's first birthday. I'd never heard of it before and I have still never seen it in person. BUT The idea of the alliteration of animals and foods is absolutely infectious. I and all my --childless adult!-- friends get into hours of sitting around coming up with PandaPickles to tell each other. We're even alliterating our verbs now! (ie: Spiderplant synthesizes sunlight, Crow crunches cashews, ... ) Once you start, you can't stop. I don't know about the kiddos but it's increased MY language skills, game-playing, and appetite!

Weird Combos, Still fun
Some animal-food combos will sound weird, but I guess the point of the book isn't about logic. It's a fun way to show + teach kids animal names, food names, colors, and the alphabet. My kid has a lot of these alphabet based picture books, which we read with him often. As a result, he is able to recognize and sing the entire alphabet already at 1 year, 10 months.

My son's favourite book
I cannot say enough about this book. Well constructed. The animals are black and white and the letters and words match the colour of the food. I love that the animals and food start with the same letter. So it's great for phonics. My son is impatient and wants to move on to the next thing. So being able to read the page and move on quickly is awesome. He loves this book more than any of his other books. His second being the your baby can learn books and 123 by Jane foster. I love that this book is so simplistic but has enough content that it will grow with him while we learn the alphabet and sounding out words. I cant wait to get pandas love pizza and I hope she writes more books about different topics in the same style.

Great illustrations and alphabet associations!
My daughter loves this book! Illustrations are great, and the lesson is life is all about trying something new. Great for learning the alphabet, associating letters to words, learning about animals, and learning about different types of foods. We bought our 2 year old daughter a stuffed alligator for Valentines Day and the first thing out of her mouth was “Alligators try Apples!” It’s a fun book with great drawings. Give it a go!
