It's already saved me money!
I was rewiring a vintage lamp and needed a foundation for the socket because the "basin" in sits in is so deep. So I decided to use cork as a foundation - but I needed to carve it out so the socket would sit in it securely and I used the Dremel - it took a couple of minutes. I chose the wired model because I read a couple of reviews that said the battery operated ones could tend to lag a bit.

I’ve been using a Dremel for over 30 years. These are the most versatile and coveted tools in my collection. I purchased this one to give to a friend. Of course it was a hit and with Dremel reliability he’ll be using it for years to come.

A medium grade dremel
This device does have low rpm and is light weight. It does not have the left of the bigger Dremel motor and needs an upgrade. It simply is better than the low power battery operated Dremel. You get what you pay for. It does not have an adjustable variable chuck.
