Impressive responsiveness and image quality!
I'm so happy with this dash cam, easy 5 stars! Set up and installation was fairly easy, there's plenty of videos out there if you need help. The wiring just tucks up into the head liner and you plug in to your 12V accessory port, or the OBD port like I did for continuous power even when the car is off. I love that this package comes with an OBD adapter, many other dash cams don't! The screen size is bigger than a typical rear view mirror, but not obtrusive. Very responsive with no lagging. Just set up how you want it, then you literally don't need to touch it, it just works! You can have the digital display on all the time, or not at all. Mine is set to turn the display off after 1 minute of driving. But when the rear is fully loaded and I can't see out the mirror, I use the rear camera display so I can see despite all the cargo. In today's world, everyone should have a dash cam. With the super high resolution and continual recording, including footage lock capability, impact sensors, safety alerts, and night time security mode, you can rest assured that you'll have the footage you need for a police report, insurance claim, or even for your own. You can record audio, or turn it off if you want. Easily download the footage wirelessly, or with the included microSD card. I'm impressed with the night resolution, both front and rear, and the quality of the time lapse security footage. Even at night in the rain, the images were fairly clear. I had one minor issue with the rear image reversing itself at every start up. I contacted customer support and got an immediate response with an immediate software fix. I downloaded the update and installed it on the microSD card using a Chromebook (doesn't work on Mac). Now it's all set up exactly how I want it! Overall, this is a top buy, easily 5 stars. Very impressed with the quality of the hardware, the responsiveness of the display, the resolution of both cameras, and low light image quality. I can verify that this works in sub-zero temperatures with no problems!

Awesome system for street and track
I recently purchased and installed the P12 Pro max front and rear camera system. Installation was very straight forward and easy and i chose to hard wire the system with their hardwire kit. All wires were plenty long enough for a mid sized sedan. Both front and rear cameras a very clear and offer a great picture. I use this system on a race car, so im not setting up any of the traffic warning options. But it functions great as a rear view camera and a front camera data logger. Customer support was even better, as we accidentally broke off the end of the camera cable trying to adjust the mirror against the roll bar and i had emailed tech support asking for a part number so i could order another cable and they sent me a replacement for free. Great service and great product

Very nice unit. Low price, great features, exceptional video clarity.
Pleasantly surprised with this product, Pelsee P12 Pro Max. Initially purchased just for a backup camera on my 2001 Toyota Tundra. Both front and rear cameras are very clear, and especially at night. Got a lot of extras as the kit comes with a GPS antenna which enables the following safety features: Lane Departure, Forward Collision Warning, Front Vehicle Start Alerts, and Maintain Safe Distance. Voice commands are a great feature. Putting vehicle in reverse, the rear camera quickly comes on with helpful grid lines to help guide you. I had professional install from Best Buy on 1/6/26. Used Hardwire Kit, not OBD (thus avoiding possible OBD error code issues at vehicle servicing). Using Hardwire Kit also enables 24 hour Parking Monitor and low voltage monitoring, with 128GB SD Card for extended recording. The cost was well below other rearview camera options. Easy to navigate and adjust settings directly from the rearview mirror. Includes WiFi connection for additional features and downloads directly to your phone. Highly recommend this unit. Enjoy. :-) Note: for installation of backup camera, you will likely need to separately purchase a license plate mounting bracket for the camera. The rear camera cable length is 33' which worked perfectly for my extended cab with 6' bed. Many units only come with 24' cable.

Title: Extremely Disappointed — Do Not Waste Your Money
I am beyond frustrated with this product. I bought the most expensive model, nearly $300, and spent an hour and a half setting it up properly. At first, it worked—but the lane departure and front-collision warnings are useless. They don’t warn you before danger; they go off about three seconds after you’re already in it. By the time the alert sounds, you’d already be in an accident. It’s not a warning—it’s a post-crash notification. It recorded fine for about four days, and then it stopped recording altogether. I’m furious about the time and effort I wasted installing this thing. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone—at least not the 4K front and 2.5K rear model. I’ll be getting my money back one way or another, and I expect compensation for the time it stole from me.

Great product and outstanding customer support from Pelsee Support Team
I’m very pleased with the ease of the functionality of this device so far. The clarity of both front and rear Starvis 2 cameras is amazing through the mirror display. Installation was easy with provided instructions from Pelsee. After registering the dashcam for warranty purposes, the company's support team request my feedback on their dashcam. I've started a great dialog with their support team. I have also purchased a seconded P12 Pro Max for my second vehicle.

Timelapse Mode Flips Rear Camera View
Excellent dash cam! I installed it easily into my 2017 F150. The front and rear camera images look great both day and night. The only thing keeping my review from being a 5+++ is an annoying issue with the rear camera view. To get the rear camera to image correctly, I have to set the rear camera to "Mirror" in the rear camera settings. Not a problem. It is easy to set, but every time I turn off the vehicle and leave it for more than a few minuets, the rear camera view flips back to its original view. The setting does not change in the rear camera menu. So each time I start the vehicle I have to go to the rear camera settings and slide the setting bar from "Mirror" (Which it is still set on} and slide the setting to "Normal" then back to "Mirror" and then it displays properly until I turn off the vehicle again. Yesterday I was parked at a gas station taking a phone call, I turned off the vehicle and was sitting watching the rear camera view on the display. After about 3 minuets the screen prompted that it was entering time-lapse mode. As soon as that happened the rear image flipped with no input from me. I started the vehicle, corrected the rear camera view, then turned off the time-lapse function. The rest of the day yesterday and all day today, the rear camera image remained in the "Mirror" configuration. Apparently I will not be able to use the time-lapse feature without having to manually reset the rear camera view every time I stop then restart the vehicle. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It requires some learning curve
This thing packs with most legitimate hardware, starvis 2 which is the latest Sony cmos, so picture quality is never a doubt. The front camera image is crisp. I notice the front camera has very large view angle in both directions, so don’t worry about pointing it straight, it has enough coverage for the whole front. Things get little interesting when it comes to rear camera, which makes me think that it might only be suitable for people who committed to the installation process. Since this unit takes over your regular mirror, you have few options and each has trade off 1. You only use front camera and use the screen/mirror as a mirror. The thing is the mirror needs to be tilted to function as a regular mirror, but it affects the front camera angle. Some, including myself, don’t like that. I don’t want my dash cam footages tilted all the time. Also, although it still reflects well when screen is off, it’s definitely not as reflective as a real mirror, so I don’t recommend 2. You have to install both front and rear cameras. I prefer this option. Since the rear camera is always pointing straight to the back, you don’t have to keep the screen at certain angles for reflection which means you will have a better front footage. However, it will still produce less crisp rear image compared to real mirror. At the end of the day, it is a camera footage, can’t compare to a real mirror. It doesn’t mean the camera under delivered, it’s just physic. I found it most affected in low light/dark environment, so it takes time to get used to. For the trade off, I get dash cam footage all around and honestly these are the top of line hardware we can get in the market. Once I got used to the new setup, I am fine with it, so took some commitments and learning curve to make use of it I guess.

Not worth the price
Update: added a picture to show both front and rear camera video (split screen) at the same time. As you can see the video on the right side is darker than the left side. The right side is the rear camera and the quality is terrible in day light for the price of this unit. Early mornings before sunrise I can barely see at all through the rear camera. I own a wolf box g900 and wanted to see if Pelsee was better overall but I was wrong. Installation was fine just like any other similar dashcam mirror. Setup was a breeze. Does come with everything you need including a obd2 power adapter so you can run parking mode. Two things that made this camera inferior to Wolfbox was one the glare. Wolfbox has glare but for some reason not as bad and I’m able to adjust the camera better to help with glare issues unlike Pelsee. The other thing is brightness on the rear view Mirror itself when using the rear camera while driving. Does not have enough brightness or any Other adjustment besides the one slider for brightness. Wolfbox has a couple of adjustments that help make the Mirror video itself brighter compared to Pelsee. Video quality (speed) seemed ok but not as good as Wolfbox.

You got to have it!
I thought that my first Pelsee P12 Plus is good enough, but then when I read about the upgraded version, Pelsee P12 Pro Max, I was hesitant because it’s quite pricey, so I decided to go for it and I’m so glad i did and it’s worth it. The clarity of the front camera (4K) and the rear camera (2.5K) is just unbelievably sharp.. It’s also straight forward to install and connect all the wires, but I have to let the professional technician to connect the red wire to the backup light. It cost me $20. The big plus is the 160 degrees vision on the rear camera which is for me a good safety features that eliminates blind spots. Another feature that I love is driving at night, the front and rear vision is so sharp and even in pitch black, just the from the car's headlights, it illuminates the road and not grainy at all. If you’re looking for a high quality dash cam, this is it! I highly recommend it.

useful smart features
I’m honestly very impressed. The Sony lens really lives up to its reputation — the video quality is super clear both during the day and at night. License plates and road details are easy to see, which is exactly what you want from a high-end dash cam. This isn’t just a basic recorder either. It comes with a lot of useful smart features. One of my favorites is the ADAS lane departure warning. This is usually something you only get in newer cars, but my car is a 2016 model and doesn’t have any of those safety features. With this dash cam installed, it honestly feels like I added a small tech upgrade package to my old car. The OBD hardwire connection is also a nice bonus. It’s a newer and more convenient solution compared to traditional hardwiring that goes directly to the car battery. Installation was much easier and cleaner than what I’ve dealt with before. After long periods of use, the unit does get a bit warm, but nothing concerning — it doesn’t affect performance or stability at all.

This honestly works amazing….
So I got this dash cam more than one month ago, mainly was cause my old one died and I was tired of not knowing what's going on behind me, especially at night. I drive for work (not a full-time Uber driver or anything lol, just lots of deliveries) and it gets stressful sometimes. Decided to try this one after seeing the night vision thing and the 4K recording on front cam. Thought it was a bit expensive at first, but man, it's worth it. Install was okay-ish. I'm not good with wires, so routing the rear cam cable took me a good hour (I'm slow lol), but once it was up it felt like magic. The screen is super clear, especially at night, like, not even exag-gerating. It doesn't just turn black and white in the dark like my old cam. It's full-color, which helps me see better in parking lots when I'm tired. The ADAS thing was new to me. I didn't think I'd care for voice alerts, but now I can't go without it. It beeped when I started drifting out of my lane once when I was sleepy. Legit might've saved me from something worse. Oh, and I didn't even realize it has dual WiFi, 5.8GHz. Video download is actually fast. Before I always had to take out the SD card and stick it in my laptop. Now I just open the Pelsee app and it's there. Feels like my car's smarter now. Not saying it's life-changing, but I feel safer, and that matters a lot. Would buy again for sure. Might even get one for my cousin who just got her license.

Do not buy
The camera is freezing quite often, and when unpacking the package it was missing a screw to hold the camera to the stand, I do not recommend this product, but when working the image is really clear at night. Also be notified that I had to pay shipping fees to send back the package and that they won't reimburse the shipping fees, also they will reimburse the camera only 30 day after your have return the package, it's not mentioned when you are purchasing the dash cam, so it's a fraud because buying the cam whiteout any clear advice of those return condition, it's should be illegal.
