MindWare Extreme Dot to Dot Animals Book Puzzles Range from 300 to over 1,400 Dots Features 8 2-Page Spreads

These are so much fun! I'm very much an adult (well, in age anyway) and they are great entertainment in the evening. The numbers are small so I need good light and need to double up on my cheaters (it's a cute sight but it works for me!). I typically use gel markers and don't take the time to color the pics as i'm ready to do the next one! I think I've done all this brand's books and buy them over again. I store them away for awhile and don't remember doing the pic by the time I pick it up again. I've bought other brands but these are a go to.

I am an adult and bought the Extreme Dot-to-Dot: Lore and Legends book for a young teen friend of mine who is into brainteasers and puzzles. I was so intrigued by the idea that I decided to buy the Animals book for myself. All I can say is "Wow!" Super fun and enjoyable, really stimulates your brain. I use a fine-tip marker, but be warned that it will show through the pages in certain lighting (not a big concern, though). It's so challenging and fun to try to guess what animal you're creating! Be warned, though, patience is a MUST for books like these, as well as good eyesight (have your reading glasses handy). My friend and I both highly enjoy our new Mindware Dot-to-Dot books. :)

I sponsor two kids with ChildFund and it's hard to figure out cool stuff to send along with letters. Since most items have to be flat in order to avoid costly customs or the package being stolen, it is limiting. Luckily, I found this dot-to-dot book and it's awesome! Extremely detailed, and for an 11 year old boy and 10 year old girl, these are the perfect fun and educational surprise to include in my letters.

I ordered this and other books of this type for my granddaughter who is 9 years old she LOVES them, I find them a very good buy as these books are the ones "we'' pick up to take along to the doc/dentist offices, it is easy to take and fun for the child while waiting in the waiting room.. I even have done some of the pictures myself.. You will not be disappointed when you purchase this and others in its line..

I had my eye on these books for about a year now. I had stumbled upon them here on Amazon and just thought they were so cool.I sort of didn't want to spend around $10 for a dot to dot book though, no matter how cool it was.Well, I just bought one for a gift for my nephew. It was around $8. There were other versions that were about that and others still around the $10-$12 range. I think that is too much (call me cheap) but for $8, it is expensive but still worth it.The quality of the book seems nice, or at least what you'd expect. The pages are a decent weight (not cheap/thin paper) and are nice and white.I haven't actually done any of the puzzles because it is a gift. But just looking at them it seems very intense and cool (and I really want to do one).I think my favorite thing is that you can't tell what the picture is. I always hated standard dot to dots growing up because I could look at it and see what the picture is before I even begin. Not so here by far. All I see is what looks like "buckshot" on the page. Dots everywhere and I can't make heads or tails of it just by looking.My only reason for a 4 star rating rather than 5 is because I have not actually done one of the pages. If I had and could confirm it is as cool as I think it is I would go 5 stars in a heartbeat.

My son used Kumon books ( not math books) earlier. Seeing his interest I purchased this book when he was 5 1/2 yrs. He had great interest when he started and ran through half the book at the rate of 1 day. Later the rigor caught up with him. Now he does them when he likes to do. He benefitted immensely in getting a sense of numbers up to 1000. He has become very fluent with the numbers and can relate to greater than and less than kind of questions. I feel this is a great extension for any kid who knows numbers up to 100.

I bought this to put in a bag of travel activities for the family to do on road trips. One puzzle took my 11 year old 30 minutes to do and 30 minutes of quiet in a packed car is a valuable thing. There are a couple pages that are too obvious as to what the end product will be and the kids bypassed those, but if they didn't know what the outcome was going to be (although there is a key in the back of the book), they were very eager to commit to the 1000+ dots. I will buy another of these.

I gave different varieties of Extreme Dot to Dot books to a 7-year-old boy and his 11-year-old sister, and they both dropped their other gifts and started doing one of the pictures immediately. It looked like a lot of fun, so I bought another one for myself and found it a nice way to relax and do something totally different. These are not the dot to dot puzzles you've seen before - each picture has at least 600-1000 dots!

This one is for a friend who loved the look this book. I'm enjoying the dotting and colouring, it makes for an impressive finish. I would recommend it to any who really like animals

Einen wirklich schönen Zeitvertreib stellt dieses Punkt zu Punkt Buch dar. Ganz hinten sieht man, wie die Motive aussehen sollen, wenn sie fertig verbunden sind. In den einzelnen Bildern gibt es geschlossene schwarze Punkte und dann Punkte mit einem schwarzen Rand und einem weißen Innenteil. Die Punkte mit dem weiß in der Mitte signalisieren, dass hier der Stift abgesetzt werden muss um an anderer Stelle neu zu beginnen. Wenn man zum Beispiel bei 8 solch einen Punkt findet hört man dort auf und fängt bei 9 (ebenfalls durch einen in der Mitte weiß gekennzeichnetem Punkt) wieder an. So entstehen wunderschöne Motive, die danach auch noch farbig ausgemalt werden können.

Great product with loads of puzzles and dot to dots kept me entertained for hours. Well worth the money.

Habe dies und noch weiteres "Dot to Dot Extreme" meiner Freundin geschenkt, da sie solche Hefte sehr gerne hat. Schlussendlich musste ich mich selber auch zusammenreissen um nicht das ganze Heft "in einem Rutsch" auszufüllen.Es macht tierisch viel Spaß alles zu verbinden und während man noch zeichnet das Muster zu erraten.Mittlerweile verbinde ich die Punkte und sie malt das Ganze dann aus, was nochmals einige Stunden an Zeit verschlingt. Wenn man Spaß an solchen Dingen hat, kann hier bedenkenlos zugegriffen werden.
