Kitchen Simple: Essential Recipes for Everyday Cooking [A Cookbook]

I love this book - some of the recipes are very simple - but to have them there in the book reminds you to actually MAKE them. Very classic and very, very delicious. Easy to read and understand - and great pictures. This would be a great book to give to a young person starting out on their own... An excellent edition to anyone's collection.

Recipes are presented by course, salad, soup as well as protein, seafood, poultry, etc. Book opens with some basics on key pantry ingredients and basic cooking techniques, which I think are helpful, as well as thoughts on kitchenware. (never heard of "ramekins" for ex) I have tried a few of the recipes, which came out well, and look forward to trying more. I especially like the soup and salad recipes, because my soup/salad repertoire is pretty basic, and I'm always on the look out for more tasty ideas. The veggie recipes also look tempting, some of which, sauteed spinach with pine nuts and raisins, are a Spanish tapas dish I know well.

Any Peterson book is worthy of purchase!Thoughtful, well written and easy to follow.

I've just received this book. Within the first 25 pages I've notice two editing mistakes and one photo blunder--rush to publish? Honestly, how can Peterson put out so many cookbooks in so few years and receive so many accolades? I've purchased many of them but this is likely the last, it seems he's resting and profiting on his laurels.And the book is printed in China--shame.

The looked and perform just like the brand items. Price is way better than the market brand. Would buy again. Received product to test at a discounted rate.
