Sur La Table Cast-Iron Tortilla Press 160

There were several othe tortilla presses I could have chosen. I selected this one because I trust the quality from Sur La Table. This is spray painted silver. The paint was gummy when I opened the package. Paint came off onto my hands. I washed it and dried it. Put the handle on. That part was easy. It is basic enough. What can go wrong with a tortilla press. I had to press the dough several times to flatten. I don't blame the product for that. I just think that you can save yourself some money in this case. You aren't getting an elite product like you would normally get from Sur La Table. I used parchment paper between the press and dough so paint won't contaminate the food. Due to the paint on the handle , my hand needed to be washed over and over to keep the paint off.

My handle broke off the second time I used it. Just snapped off.
