I recently purchased a VR headset for my son as part of his Christmas present, with the agreement that he would contribute towards it. He had wanted one for a long time, but my wife and I were hesitant because of the potential injuries and issues we’d heard about. As a first-time VR user myself, I was honestly blown away. It’s incredibly fun, immersive, and surprisingly addictive. It’s not just entertainment either—it can be educational and even a great form of exercise. One feature that impressed me the most is the built-in safety system: the headset creates a clear safe zone and automatically shows your surroundings if you step outside the boundaries. In terms of comfort and play experience, I noticed that after extended play on certain games like Stranger Things or Gorilla Tag, I started to feel nauseous. On the other hand, games like Beat Saber or Bowling gave me little to no discomfort. This particular headset bundle included Gorilla Tag and a trial of Meta Horizon+, which added extra value. I think it’s definitely worth the investment for the entertainment it delivers. However, I would recommend considering the optional head strap or an upgraded strap with a built-in battery. The base strap feels uncomfortable over longer sessions, and the battery currently lasts only about two hours. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and can see this VR headset being a source of fun for the whole family.

This has been one of the best experiences of getting into VR. Formally, A VR setup would cost trackers, gaming laptops and so on. However with the meta quest, it has been a blast. No computer or laptop required you can play all games in your room, with a minimum space. Moreover, the headset also let's you watch movies, shows and series. You can operate with the remote provided or use the intuitive hand gestures. Either way both work perfectly. The picture quality is a little blurry compared to quest 3. Considering it's equipped with frensic lenses which can be hard to adjust since sweet spot of eyes differ frequently. There's also a risk of the headset burning when kept in places where the sun rays basically go through the lenses..it's advisable to tuck it safely at a secure spot. Comfort is another issue, while one can wear this headset for an hour. The effect can last for a few hours, the strap on the headset is sort of hard to adjust as well. After a while of gaming or watching movies or shows, it's reasonable enough to make you sweat. The battery life is also pretty minimal, gaming typically lasts for 2 hours while with normal use it can last for a 2.5 hours. Consider a battery strap if you have to use it for 2.5+ hours. Else it delivers enough for you to enjoy. Last but not least, I was able to play games on the headset and on the laptop as well using steam link. Both work pretty well. Overall an excellent product for people who want to enter into VR. It's ergonomic, slightly inexpensive with a few cons. But overall it's a great product
