Q: How spicy is it? Same scovile as Ghost pepper?

It’s a great hot and a little sweet. It is on the same scovile scale as Ghost but more like 1/16 amount of ghost pepper and no ground seeds in it which makes it not breathtakingly 🥵 hot. I grow Carolina Reapers and Ghost peppers and am used to their heat level. If you love either of those peppers you will enjoy this jelly. It goes great on almost any thing not sweet.

Pure Cane Sugar, Water, Fruit Pectin, Ghost Pepper Mash (ghost peppers, salt), Cider Vinegar, Citric Acid

Q: Do you think you could use this instead of regular cranberry sauce on a Thanksgiving plate?

Probably not it has stickier more jelly-like consistency than cranberry sauce. It so delicious though! We serve it with cream cheese on crackers.

Q: Is this a firm jelly or a soupy, runny gelatin?

First this is the best mint jelly I have found. When the jar is first opened at room temperature it is not firm like most commercial jelly. But it’s also not soupy. Once you refrigerate it the produce firms up like jelly. When is serve it either plated or in a serving bowl it keeps its jelly like texture. It doesn’t return to the consistency like it was when you open the jar before it goes into the frig. I’ve used it also in cooking and sauces and it takes quite a bit of heat and stirring to get it to liquify. The taste is amazing!
