Not so expensive, not so good
Sent it back. Utilizes "coin" type batteries. Never woke my son the first night. Kind of made a dull "squawking" noise when activated. Maybe the unit arrived with "flat" batteries. I did not check the voltage remaining but knew coin batteries aren't the way to go and returned it. Its one of the more reasonably priced units. The clip on the sensor cable is preferable to tape or pin on attachments. Most of this equipment is grossly overpriced - (this isn't rocket science here). We replaced it with: 2014 DryEasy Bedwetting Alarm (uses AAA batteries). At roughly 1/6 to 1/4 the price of other comparable units, we found it to be superior to anything we've looked at.

Too dangerous for younger children
My daughter is almost 8 years old and suffers from Kidney reflux disease which has some issues but also complicates her night time bed wetting issue. We purchased this alarm in hopes that it would be a useful alternative to the more expensive models. I can't really review on how well it works because we didn't make it past the first night! I've posted my experience, in the form of complaints (that's all we have) from the time we opened the box until her first morning after.1. The alarm's 'instruction manual' doesn't really give you a lot of help or any diagrams on how to connect the alarm. It tells you how to do it but if you get your hands on one of these things, you'll find that's VERY ineffective. We did finally figure it out so we could test it and it was a very loud sound. That was good because we needed the startle effect for our daughter who could sleep through a civil war reenactment! **FYI: Instructions on how to use are listed with the product registration card.**2.The wrist band is not made small enough for small children. The pictures all show an adult wearing it-not children and that's about right. We tightened it all the way down and the box was flopping everywhere. We were going to safety pin it to her shirt but it pulled because of it's weight.3. The transmitter box is VERY heavy and when you add the ridiculously heavy battery, it's worse. (weight reads almost 6 oz with the battery). The transmitter is also quite large. It hung from her wrist like a cell phone!4. The wire that runs from the transmitter on the wrist to the underwear is VERY stiff and hard. She did deal with having it threaded through her PJ's but it irritated her because it wasn't flexible enough to lie against her body and pulled on her top. (feels similar to the wire used to connect your house phone to the wall-jack)5. Once we got it threaded, we worked on attaching the sensor. It's large, awkward, rough, and terribly hard to use. It said to pull the plastic sensor guard back and connect the snap. The sensor guard is flexible but has sharp edges and is bulky. The transmitter wire has a 4-6 inch split so you can thread the sensor and contact wire around the leg openings but the plastic was hard and sharp. The sensor in her underwear had to be adjusted for nearly 1/2 an hour before we could get it where it needed to be. She did complain about the plastic sensor guard rubbing some places and the wires rubbed her groin area as well.6. After nearly 45 minutes of adjustments, we got her to a 'tolerable' point and had high hopes!7. I wake up to the alarm sounding around 3am. I go in to wake her and she's completely tangled in this thing! The box has slipped off her wrist and it has been worked out of her pj top. The bottom sensor appears to have been pulled at some point (it doesn't take much to disconnect it). Needless to say, I removed it all and put her back in a pull up after she used the restroom. She was completely freaked out about all the wires being tangled and she was frustrated because it didn't work.My daughter isn't a restless sleeper who tosses and turns a lot so this worried me. If you're comfortable with it and on a budget with strong nerves,it might work for you. The alarm is VERY loud but I would recommend this for use on bigger, older children still struggling (like 10 and up).You canNOT use this product in a pullup due the way you have to connect them with underwear and you'll need some pretty snug PJ's and undies to keep the stuff in place because of it's weight.

The Nytone
Was told about this alarm around a month ago by my son's doctor, who said that the alarm was new to the market and a slightly less expensive option to help with my 8 year old boy's bedwetting problem (going on multiple years now without a dry night, so this sounds great). Since I had never heard about a "bedwetting alarm", I checked online but unfortunately couldn't find any reviews specific to his needs.Needless to say though, I decided to take the plunge on the alarm since his doctor mentioned it, and unfortunately was not impressed by the outcome...The first week entailed my son waking up horrified by the loud noises. These same noises actually wound up on around five out of the seven days, scaring him so much that he ended up finishing his "accident" in the bed, before me or my wife could even escort him to the bathroom. The second week he seemed to calm down in terms of the noises but began to sleep right through them. It took us coming to turn off the alarm to actually wake him as we could hear the multitude of different noises coming from his room but they did nothing to wake him!And last week from what we can see the alarm just stopped working all together, he would not wake up to it, half the time the sensor wouldn't stay in the right spot to detect anything (mind you it has no clip and needs to be taped (adhesive tape) to the underwear), and the alarm did less for my son than us just waking him up at a set time ourselves. Not impressed at all, and very cheap poor performance from what we experience. We would Not buy again.Pros:Lightweight1 ToneCheap (In price)Cons:-Useless in waking anyone but us up.-The Sensor (I would have never expected to need to actually use adhesive or masking tape. They really -went cheap on this)-Large Uncomfortable Sensor Pad (My son said it "poked" him and woke him up quite a few times)-Flimsy and feels like it's about to fall apart if my son even rolled onto it (made a weird rattling noise when handled as well)
