iTab P01BK Electronic Songbook

This product is a wast of money at this present time. You cant download tabs. This item has been discontinued for awhile according to the manufacture, and there web site is almost unless until who knows when. I e-mailed the manufacture and they replied that they are going to promote their new product and mean while their web site will be running just after Christmas. Well, I don't see their new product and their web site is still not working to down load tabs. Bummer. I was looking forward to loosing my stand on the stage. All of this is my own personal opinion. Purchased this item at a closeout price from Reverb.Com....without doing any internet searching about product. Information sounded good and like a very useful product. What a mistake. As the other reviews stated, it is completely worthless. The seller informed me that several people liked the unit and by their discovering some "workarounds" it worked fine. After 3 days of searching I could find no one who had discovered any "workarounds" for this unit. About 2 weeks after this I received an e-mail from the developer who stated "hang in there" we are working on updates which will soon be available....If you look at the above reviews, about the same statement was made back in 2012.(3 YEARS AGO)Don't even think about wasting your money. These things should not even be advertised.......

I received this as a gift (It was on my wish list). I've been trying to figure it out for a couple hours and I just don't think it works the way anyone would expect. First there is no Guitar Tab used. For a given song, the major chords and there fingering are listed, for example 'Am XO221O'. Then it's just lyrics with the chord names over the change points. So it's less like Tab and more like a lyric cheat sheet. The system is supposed to scroll in time, but several songs just do not work at all. Manually scrolling to see a preview of all the lyrics is very difficult to do as there isn't a smooth scroll but rather a few line jump every time you touch the scroll bar. You can load MP3s and even create your own tab files, but the sound output via built in speaker is very weak, and through the headphone output is not very good. Additional songs are averaging $0.44 for the tab files. You can load your own MP3s. I'm going to try a bit more, but be warned, if you're used to an iPhone or similar, and expect that this is going to be the musicians version with Guitar Tab, you'll be very disappointed.

Seemed amazing at first...then I actually used it.Do not buy this product. It is way to expensive for what it does, sound quality is terrible without headphones, it doesn't use tabs, but instead a terrible chord system with a terrible pace. I just received one as a gift, and will have the uncomfortable experience of figuring out to return it so my gifter can get their money back. If you don't believe me...try to find one positive review on the internet. At first I thought I was using it wrong...no...it's just a piece of crap.
