HP NQ576AA LCD Speaker Bar.

I actually use one of these with an old CRT monitor I have for playing NES and Super NES games. I just set the speaker on top of the monitor and use a 3.5mm female to RCA plug adapter to plug the consoles into this speaker. It works great and sounds way better than the internal speaker of the monitor. It also fits nicely on top of the monitor so it doesn't take up any desk space. The monitor doesn't have a USB slot so I use an old cell phone plug to plug the USB power cable into.One of the main things I really like about this soundbar over most others is the size of it. It is only about 12 inches long (wide) so it is very compact and easily fits on top of my 14 inch crt monitor. It uses a standard 3.5mm plug instead of bluetooth or sending sound over USB. Finally, this speaker has 2 headphone jacks and a volume control on the side. Not sure why you would need two headphone jacks but I suppose you could always use one of them as a line out to some larger speakers or a TV or something if you wanted and depending how you had everything hooked up..

i get the feeling the one i got failed full QA or was a return. it works, the volume it less than other soundbars of similar size. i have it plugged in a lenovo docking station, when i pull laptop out it gives off a high pitched whistle - just loud enough to be really annoying.

I got this for my teenage son to add to a PC monitor and use as a television in his room with an AppleTV pod. He installed it on his own in about 2 minutes and was on his way. Great sound. Great solution.

Although the speaker looks really nice with the screen it is very poor quality not very loud and the speakers are already crackling. I would buy something else but I don’t have the space so I’ll be buying new 1 inch speakers and replacing the ones in it.

Very good item for the price, if you cannot screws it to your screen, just use double face tape.

It's not great on bass...but remember its a LCD monitor speaker. I use it in my office to listen to music at a reasonably low level. For that purpose it is perfect. The fact that it clips on my monitor is honestly the whole reason I bought it as I don't like clutter on my desk. It fits snugly to the monitor and seems well built. If you have a monitor that is compatible you won't regret buying this. Granted you have reasonable expectations.

It's easy enough to install and I like the headphone jacks and volume control. Unfortunately, there's a constant buzzing / hissing / squealing sound in the background that makes it really irritating to leave turned on.Granted, it's a monitor-mounted speaker bar and no one should expect audiophile quality from it but I was expecting it to be at least as good as the ones for Dell monitors in that they don't have any background noise.

I was looking for an office chair with buiilt in speakers. None seemed to be very comfortable or affrodable. I ended up buying these speakers and poking some slits to the top of my chair and zip tied the speaker to the top of my chair. The speakers are very lightweight and they stay in place very well. They are loud enough to listen to my computer's audio. They solved my dilemma.
