Reliable Sealant That Gets the Job Done!
The RectorSeal No. 5 Pipe Thread Sealant is hands down one of the best sealants Iโve used. It applies smoothly, spreads evenly, and seals perfectly every time. Iโve used it on both metal and PVC threads with zero leaks โ even under pressure. It stays pliable without hardening or cracking, which makes maintenance easy. The 4-ounce can is the perfect size for both professionals and DIY jobs, and a little goes a long way. Cleanup is simple, and the consistency is just right โ not too thick, not too runny. If youโre looking for a dependable thread sealant that works across plumbing, gas, and industrial applications, this is the one. RectorSeal never disappoints! ๐ช๐งฐ

Easy to apply
AS far as I know this is safe for NPT fittings in hydraulic systems. It is as easy to use as regular pipe dope and functions the same way.

The best thread sealant. Air, water, or gas.
I was using this nearly 50 years ago and Iโm back to stay. Iโve messed with teflon tape and had leaks. No more. Rectorseal #5 seals well, easy to use with the brush, sets quickly enough to pressurize right away, but stays soft enough so threads come apart easily. Yes, it can be messy but thatโs a small price to pay.

Did the job sealing the gas pipes!
I bought this thread sealant for fixing my gas furnace, needed to replace the gas valve that stop working. It does its job, I had no problem with gas leaks. Itโs easy to use with the brush and right viscosity of the sealant. My advice, apply a generous amount to the thread but only on the male connector, donโt apply to close to the end since the sealant could get into the stream and clog the gas valve in my case. You can wipe off the excess once youโre done connecting the pipes. Make sure you get the right one, this brand has the white and yellow, yellow is for the gas sealant.

Fantastic stuff.
I haven't had any success with pipe "dope". It's been a 100% failure for me. So why did I try Rectorseal 5? I had an air compressor to hook up with multiple fittings. One tank connected to two compressor pumps. I usually use the double thickness of the gas teflon (yellow) or the triple thickness of the black (or pink) teflon tape. But for one last time I tried Rectorseal. I can happily say I'm a convert. I pressurized the tank and it's fittings to 100 psi. One week later it was at 98 psi. After one month it was to 90 psi. Now I'm teflon tape free.

Works exactly as intended.... haven't blown up house yet.
I bought this gas pipe thread sealant for some gas plumbing to install a gas range. I had never done any gas plumbing, and after watching some videos I purchased this rather than tape because I wanted to make sure I got a really good seal, since you know... leaking gas? Anyway I plumbed my lines and used this sealant at each connection. The jar has a lid with a stick and ball on the end of it, so its easy to scoop a bunch out and lather it on the male and/or female ends of your pipe to get a solid seal. I sealed a couple joints and immediately put the system under pressure, and after adjusting one connection, the system held at 25 psi for 30 minutes with no leaks! Just be wary about getting it on your clothes, I had coveralls on but one of my tee shirts got ruined because a glob got on the collar somehow, and nothing I could do would get it out of the cloth. I fully recommend this product and will be buying another jar when I undertake my next gas plumbing project, a gas dryer!

For anyone who needs a good pipe dope
From SG. Does its job really well. Use it with teflon tape and I guarantee thereโs no way it will leak even if u pressurised it immediately

Great product
Do not waste your time with gas tape. This does the job. Overpriced by about $15. Local hardware stores carry for much less.
