beautiful notebook
I love the color, the smoothness of the cover and of course the inside. This is the right size for me and much, much nicer than my previous one from another source!

More than just a journal
We passed it around at my Mom’s 80th Birthday celebration for guests to write well wishes, memories, or whatever they chose. She will be able to reflect upon them for years to come.

Thin paper, overpriced.
Paper is VERY thin and any ink pen will bleed through to the back of the paper. But it's kind of deceiving because page 1 is thicker than all the rest of the pages, almost like a cover letter for the binding, so we wrote in it before flipping through... I would have returned but we already inked on it. I guess if you want a book to trace pictures it might be good.

Wrong color, translucent paper?
I purchased the reef blue moleskine sketchbook, but received one that was an emerald green. The paper is VERY thin and you can see the drawings on the next page through them. That being said, it takes a variety of media very well and makes for a good freehand practice sketchbook.

Pages are super thin
The pages are way thinner than what I expected from a moleskine. I tried many pen types and i could see all my writing from the other side of the page. Kind of a waste for most uses as a journal, unless you just use pencil.

Light weight paper. Not acceptable for my use.
The paper quality has really gone down with Moleskin. This paper was much lighter in weight than previous versions. I use a fountain pen and the bleed through only allows use of a single side. If you write with pencil. No worries. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Which is what I have done.
