I purchased this monitor, despite some of the bad reviews, specifically for a cross country MC ride I did in September 2018. The monitor instructions were a bit difficult to use when setting the parameters of the monitor but I did figure out how to get it to work as it should. Once set up, I had zero problems with this product at all. It monitored the pressure in PSI, the tire temp in F. I had an instant method to determine how the constantly changing temperatures on this ride as we rode to the west coast and back affected my tires. This monitor saved the hassle of laying on the ground trying to access the rear tire valve and getting a reliable pressure reading each morning. As soon as I rolled a hundred yards, I had the current tire pressure and temperature on the monitor. That gave me a lot of peace of mind as we rode 8500+ miles in 17 days. I think every cruising bike should be manufactured with tire pressure monitoring standard, but until that actually happens, this is an inexpensive alternative.

I really hope this would work. The installation is easy enough for anyone to do it. And I like that it comes with a sticker so I can have option to put it on a flat surface instead of mounting on the handle bar. The problem is, it's very inaccurate. For example, after I pumped the tire to 29 PSI and then put on the sensor, it showed 38 PSI. When it showed 31 PSI, I tested the tire with a mechanical pressure gauge and found the pressure was 22 PSI, which was way below the recommenced tire pressure. Eventually it came to a point that I had to disregard whatever reading shows on the monitor and had to check the tire pressure whenever the monitor shows a number less than 35 PSI, and then found the actual reading is vary and way below what's showing there.

Pro's & Con's:Pro's: Small and compact, weather proof, LCD easy to read, see both tire pressures & temperatures in real time.Con's: Set up instructions are vague and not in order. The handlebar mount is a stainless steel hose clamp with a black rubber insert. Not very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but functional. Hose clamp, mount and rubber insert just barely fit on 1-1/4" handlebars. Would better system with a Ram Mount system .After one ride, in rainy conditions, system performed flawlessly. I liked seeing the real time data as the conditions changed and tire pressures & temps changed.Overall a great product!

So, I really wanted to like this product. 1st kit I installed in handlebars. Looked great, easy to see. 1 monitor would pair, other refused. The one that paired showed PSI about 13lbs low. Tries 2nd kit I had bought for a friend. Same thing, 1 monitor refused to pair and the one that did showed much lower PSI. So both kits are being returned. You get what you pay for?

Display could be brighter, a little dim in the daylight.

Unit was simple to install and setup based on preferred readout (Imperial/Stand) and came with several mounting options. Very clean quality built product for a great price!
