I loved the price for this item and the digital screen to tell me the levels. I have white walls so it blends in really well. When I tested it out the beeping is loud enough that anyone would be able to hear it from anywhere. Very happy with this and will be buying more for the other levels of my home

I had to replace my old unit after only 6 years. It was supposed to work for a full 10 years, so I am hoping this brand will last a full 10 year lifespan. It was easy to install and works great.

This detector may work but it can be difficult to mount and if you cant mount it you can't use it. The alarm on mine would not lock onto the base plate so he detector and would just fall off the ceiling.I ended up reworking the base with knife and finally got to shere it would lock onto the base. It's now mounted and time will tell how well it works.

DO NOT BUY THIS! We purchased one and about a month later the alarm went off. We weren't sure why, so we exited the house and called the fire dept. The fire department came and inspected. Nothing was wrong in the house - the detector was faulty. Our fire dept told us to stay away from these no-name, no-brand cheap detectors. It is also not UL-rated, which is definitely something to stay away from. DO NOT BUY!!!

I like the fact that this detector is cordless, with a test button, instructions that come with it seems easy to follow.

Works and really inexpensive

I like that it's mobile and can move from room to room.

The instructions say to install the 3 enclosed AA batteries in the machine, but there are no batteries included. I bought 4 of these units and none had the batteries.
