Great thought, poor execution, pure garbage.
As an I.T specialist/Equipment administrator my job is communications/video servalance for a fleet Of trucks specialized in Zello/Lytx, so I thought this would be good for personal use in my car. I was wrong. none of the buttons work other then the back button. you have to download button mapper in the play store to remap them, and they still dont work correctly. My GPS antenna SMS tip fell off, after sliding it back on, when I try to hook it up it creates a short and turns the radio off. so now I have to buy a new one. power button is useless, it powers down and reboots on it's own. It has to be wired to an ignition source, it takes outdated sim cards that use a APN setting that is no longer in use for 3G, all carriers are fading 3G out. However I reset the APN for 4G and do have that on this 3G unit. Screen is so small and hard to deal with, I dont mind because I deal with this type of stuff but most will hate it. Volume knob is erratic, slight adjustment up or down and it goes full volume up or down, theres no adjustment. I just cant recommend this to anyone. I feel like I bought a toy from Walmart for 220.UPDATE: after my review the seller contacted me saying he will call the manufacturer that its ridiculous having all these problems, promised to call me back the following day. That was a week ago and never heard from them again. So I ordered a knew 4G/GPS antenna hooked it up and worked fine and was willing to keep it because i have work arounds for the problems. This week the screen started going black and frozen. In order to get it going again I would have to disconnect power and reapply it. Periodically the mic wouldn't work and I had to key up on the radio its self. Needless to say, its already been returned along with my money. Like I said. Great idea, poor execution, pure garbage.

Works well, lots of uses
After 4 months of use, I'm satified with this unit. I mostly use it for Echolink, Zello and Google maps GPS using wi-fi thetered from my Cricket phone with good success. I have an Echolink simplex node on 6-meter. When I'm out of range, i use this unit to keep me in contact. There's not much to report on this unit, its just an Android inside a radio body frame type., there are lots of apps and other uses this unit can offer. Its small enough to mount almost anywhere, incoming audio sounds better using an extetnal speaker. My only complaint is the small screen

Fantastic Customer Support
I am a ham and bought this to use BlueDV AMBE and Echolink. When the radio arrived I had a problem with the mic not transmitting. I tried a different mic cable from another radio and the TM-7 worked great. I messaged the seller, Empire Wireless, and told them I would prefer a replacement cable instead of returning the whole radio. In record time they responded and shipped me a new mic. I could not believe how fast and responsive they were. This radio is based on an older Android 6 and the cellular support is older 3G or GSM but the price is comparatively lower. It works great on Wifi. The transmit and receive audio sounds great. If you do some exploring you will find a nice program that allows you to bring up your TM-7 screen on your Windows computer and manage the radio from there with a bigger screen. You will also want to download the Button Mapper program so you can program the buttons on the front panel. There are more expensive models that have support for more modern cellular services. You will need to do your homework if you need to use this radio on cellular. The radio comes with a DC power cable like you would find on a mobile radio. You can run this on 12 to 24 vdc. You can run it on a 12v wall wart power supply. I measured the current draw at 12v to be under 200 ma so almost any 12v wall wart would work. Remember that a poor quality wall wart can cause the radio to operate erratically. They put a 2A fuse on the power cord. I think that's because the cable is rated at 2A. This radio can provide a lot of enjoyment in a different way than conventional RF radios can.

I was hoping for something better.
Tried over a dozen different SD Memory cards in the hidden slot (next to the two SIM cards), and the radio didn't recognize any of them. 6 months later and the PTT on the microphone no longer works with a couple of amateur radio apps. My gut feeling on this is the mic cable is shot, or the rj-45 connector(s) are not making proper contact with the jack(s) on the radio and/or mic. On the positive side, I installed it in a Jeep Wrangler and I can hear the radio using the built-in speaker. For indoor use, I would recommend disabling the sound enhancement.

Love this little unit
Its basically an internet device(cell phone in a radio case) but for use with Push to Talk applications like zello. It gives a feeling of using a regular CB or Motorola style radio. To me I have had no issues so far and it hase worked great. It comes with 512 or so meg of physical ram and 1 Gog of storage sonit was not intended to be loaded with allo of crazy apps. I use it with Zello and it works great for me over WiFi. I have not used it with 3g cellular service so I can not coment on that. Use home base and family uses Zello cell phone app. Kinda lole old CB radio days :-)

VERY DISSAPOINTED !
I have had it for about a year now so I use it for is Zello , that being said it's junk ..... Waste of money ..... It just refuses to stay connected to wifi , I have tried the wifi hotspot from my phone , I have my home wifi just regular and 5G sides of the wifi , the software is super slow and glitches all the time the volume buttons are very finiky most of the time it will not let me choose a volume it's either silent mode of full blast volume ! I know it's android based so I figured maybe it'll do automatic updates like an Android phone and the performance will get better with time !? The 3.5 mm headphone jack on the side does not work either ..... This thing is complete junk ! Total waste of money very dissapointed ! If I could rate it ZERO STARS I would !
