100% for small spaces
It won't heat a big room, but for a small one it just is everything. It's very cheap to run, never breaks down and never overheats. If you want value for money in a small room it's good. Get an electric blanket if you want a large room heated for one person on a budget but this heater won't do anything other than a small one.

Small & compact
Smaller than I thought it would be but makes it easy to move around the rooms. Not very hot even on highest temperature but takes the chill out of the room.

good for small room
I live in London. I bought this in mid-December and I have used this for about three weeks. My room is about 9 meter square. I nearly open it all day and night. I cannot say it is very warm in the room, but it is not cold; the temperature is comfortable to wear sweater. The assemble is easy to guess, but I can't put the back leg straight, so it looks not very elegant. But overall, is very stable.

Wonderful little heater BUT it cheats.......
I thought when I bought this it was suspiciously small for something that gives out 800W. It its electrical rating is 800W (well over my power meter says its taking 880W at the generous voltage we have here) but it has a thermal cutout mounted on the fin unit istelf as well as the air temperature thermostat. And with the air themotat turned full up and calling for heat all the time, the heater cycles on and off with the thermal cutout. In the manual it says its maximum continuous heat out output is 0.3846 kW or 384.6 watts. A non engineer would think its doing everything it says on the tin because the heater remains hot because of the thermal mass of the oil in it, but it cannot get rid of all the heat it generates and it cycles on and off. So, yes it heats up quickly and it cycles like its turning on and off with the thermostat behind the knob (the air thermostat) but its actually cycling with the oil temperature. An actual 800W heat output oil filled tadiator would need to be much larger and would heat up gradually. Its clever (very clever) deception because its not telling any lies but isn't really what it claims to be. I'll be keeping it because it does work ,its a great price and its very small but it cannot give out 800W because its just too small. Damn clever these Chinese........Later, having had this running for a while whilst monitoring its power consumption over time, in a room kept at 21 degrres, the power consumption averages 200W - it switches on for about 2 minutes and then is off for around 6 minutes. So Its off for around 3/4 of the time. Having looked at several other 800W oil fillled heaters they are all about the same physical size so I assume they all work the same and all give out a siimilar heat, Electric space heaters are all 100% efficient. I have an ancient British made 800W oil filled radiator which stays pn all the time, and is about 4 times the size of this one. On the negaitive side this one doesn't give out much heat but on the plus side it doesn't use much electric and it warms up quicklly and is a nice compact size I can say with a good degree of confidence all the oil filled heaters of this physical size will be just the same. If you want a cheap compact heater with a high output get a fan heater or theres a "Oneconcept Wallander" 800W oil filled heater which is physically huge and £80 which probably will give out 800W and use 800W of electric.Having <Cough> been inside this unit to make it Smart, I'm impressed with its build quality and its electrical safety. THe cord with the plug is proper copper whilst the internal wiring is silicon insulated aluminium (It is cheap Chinese at the end of the day) besides the air thermostat and swicth it has the oil/temp cutout, an orientation sensor which turns it off if its knocked over and a thermal fuse which will burnot and kill the power if it overheats. And its properly earthed which cannot be taken for granted with some really nasty Chinese stuff. I've has stuff which has a 3 pin plug with 3 pin cable but they neglected to connect it to the body of the device on the inside. Its obviously European Spec. When its warmed up, the hottest part of the finned body gets to 130 degrees C which is as hot as I'd want a heater to get to.

So easy.
Had a heat issue in the smallest room.On tick over it keeps the chill off but, when needing a real warm up it delivers in about ten minutes. It takes up little space and looks like a piece of retro engineering. It replaced a fan heated which was faster but so much more expensive to run.Like it a lot.

Small but great heater
I wanted this small heater for a small front porch. Its great it's small but the heat from it is amazing.Very cheap to run as well. Its got a handle to carry it easily to where you want to put it.Come the summer just pop it in a cupboard.

Mostly Useless
My intended use for this unit was in a small utility room which does not have any heating at all, at any time.It simply does not produce enough continuous heat - or didn't, as now it has stopped heating up altogether (after 6 weeks). When it was "working" I had the thermoset on the highest level and the fins did heat up to the point where they were too hot to touch but this was not sustained; it would stop heating even when the ambient air temperature was still cold. Now, the light on the switch is on but it it is not heating up at all.

Good little heater for back ground heat.
I bought it for my out door shed, I used it for one night as kept guinea pigs in there for the winter, it worked well,But they have now gone back to family and they are in doors. So happy pigs, I'm keeping fire for shed when it gets really cold , will keep my veg etc from freezing .
