Pictures or YouTube demos does not match the product
I had hard time to install it. The product did not include the user’s manual. I had to go online to find it.The arm does not go down to adjust the height’s monitor. The arm does not allow the monitor to rotate.

Two Stars
Disappointed with the finish and cosmetic finish. Functions well but for the price I expected a better quality finish.

Best monitor arm for Thunderbolt displays
I've tried many monitor arms and I believe this is the best desk-mount monitor arm you can buy for large (>20lb) monitors. If you have a Thunderbolt display and desire the capability to quickly and effortlessly adjust its position and orientation then this is the monitor arm to buy. I have used this arm on Thunderbolts mounted on sit/stand desks and it's perfect for this application. Feels solid, keeps the monitor sturdy, but is easy to adjust.

Solid
I'm using this for a 27" display. It has really nice form, great function, and it is very well made.

NOT NEW !!!!!!
The product is what I expected. It holds a 22 pound Apple monitor in place very well after you get it positioned but don't expect to adjust the position of the monitor easily by just pushing it around with one hand. The one star is for ERGONOMICS, who sold the arm. It arrived in a shipping box wrapped with bubble wrap. No manufacturers box, No warranty, Nothing except the one page of set-up instructions which looked old and used. The arm itself had obviously been used or at least set up as a display. Maybe the seller thinks it's OK to sell a display model as new. I kept the arm since I got all the parts and it works OK. The 22 inch monitor hides the areas where it is scratched and sending it back and waiting on replacement or credit, I figured would be trouble. I did not want to deal with ERGONOMICS again and the process of complaining seemed more than a little suspect. There is no phone number to call - No address - Nothing. It's all done through Amazon e-mails. I figured it was best to not waste my time and wait to write this review. Hopefully, this help someone decide where to buy from. The arm is great if you need one to hold a heavy monitor but personally, I would never buy anything from ERGONOMICS again.

Would be so great, if only...
A great stand all the way up to the monitor mounts. That's where this monitor arm really falls short. It's really a shame since the rest of the arm is so nice. I have both the single and crossbar mounts on my setup, both have the same issue...There is so much play in the slide on VESA mounts that the monitor(s) move all over the place. So whenever you grab the edges of the screen to move the monitor the mount flexes and twists all over the place making it harder to move and it feels like I will break something. If you have the dual crossbar (I have both the dual and single mount) the problem is even worse since both monitor mounts flex. Once you get done moving the mount, you have to align the monitors again. (like a crooked picture frame).I really really want to love this monitor arm, but I can't believe that such a nice product has so much play in the mounts. Knowing this issue, I would have a really hard time dropping this much again.UPDATE: I am a little happier now that I have taken the mounts apart and tightened them. It seems like some of the play was from poor assembly from the factory. I also made a few small modifications to try to reduce some play that has helped. I am still not 100% happy, but the small changes I have made did make me feel better about this purchase.

The perfect monitor stand
I was looking for a monitor stand that could support a 30" monitor with a little extra margin for error and with a wide range of motion. The only one out there is the Humanscale M8. I looked at the Ergotron MX but the motion range is limited and the weight capacity is maxed out on a 30 lb monitor. The M8 by contrast holds 40-42 pounds and has over double the vertical adjustment range of the Ergotron MX. It looks like a piece of art on the desk too. Anyway, the M8 arrives assembled except for the VESA 100 mount plate, and it took literally less than 10 minutes to have it installed and dialed in. I have even more flexibility with the M8 than I imagined. It is a monitor stand for the perfectionist, for those who like to buy the right thing, one time, and be satisfied that it is the best solution for the application. I recommend it.
