Review: 💕It was so much better than we expected and we even got black and White character art 😭 thankyou so much desertcart 🙌🏻🫰🏻 Review: 5⭐️|3🌶️ This book??? Oh it didn’t just eat. It devoured. It consumed. It left the plate CLEAN and then licked it for good measure. And I was right there with it, cheering, clapping, losing my mind at 2am like a gremlin with emotional attachment issues. Sebastian and Maya… yeah no I’m actually unwell about them. Like clinically. Someone check my vitals. The banter?? DISGUSTING. In the best way. These two do not have conversations, they have verbal fistfights with a flirty undertone and unresolved tension so thick you could cut it with a knife and serve it as dessert (which Sebastian would absolutely do). Every interaction is just them poking each other like “say something back, I dare you” and then immediately regretting NOTHING. The competitiveness between them??? Oh they are SICK in the head (complimentary). It’s constant one-upping, constant provoking, constant “I hate you but also why are you the most interesting person alive.” And the best part?? This isn’t some random insta-rivalry. Oh no. This is YEARS of buildup. YEARS of knowing each other, being around each other, probably thinking “if I look at them too long I might actually combust.” So every little moment feels loaded. Every glance feels like it has history. Every argument feels like foreplay. I’m serious. And the tension??? I need to emphasize this because I don’t think you understand. The tension in this book is the kind that makes you put the book down, stare at the wall, and whisper “oh my god” like you just witnessed something illegal. It builds and builds and BUILDS until you’re basically begging one of them to snap. And when they do??? I ascended. Sebastian… let me compose myself. No actually I can’t. Sebastian, the man that you are??? This man really said “I cannot stand this woman” and then proceeded to know her better than she knows herself. Sending her favorite dessert when she’s on a bad date??? Oh so you’re insane. You’re unhinged. You’re in LOVE love. Because what do you mean you’re sitting there tracking her emotional state like it’s your full-time job while pretending you don’t care??? And the way he talks to her??? The compliments??? The quiet observations??? The French??? THE FRENCH??? Yeah no I folded. Immediately. I don’t even speak French and I was ready to risk it all. He didn’t just climb the book boyfriend rankings, he kicked the door down, rearranged the furniture, and made himself comfortable at the top. And the YEARNING. Oh my GOD the yearning. This man has been down catastrophically for so long and you can FEEL it. It’s in the way he watches her, the way he reacts to her, the way he tries (and fails) to keep his distance. It’s embarrassing for him honestly. But incredible for me. But what really sealed it was his internal conflict. Because yeah, he’s obsessed, but he’s also dealing with expectations, responsibilities, all that annoying real-life stuff that gets in the way of being feral in love. Watching him try to balance what he wants vs. what he thinks he should want??? Delicious. Painful. I ate it up. And Maya??? THAT is a main character. She’s ambitious, driven, passionate, and just the right amount of stubborn. She does not back down, she does not fold easily (unlike me, apparently), and she matches Sebastian’s energy perfectly. Her little rants??? I was giggling every single time. Like yes girl, spiral a little, it builds character. And the perfectionism??? Oh. Oh I felt that. The constant need to prove yourself, to do more, to be more, to never mess up?? Yeah that hit a little too close to home. But it made her feel real. It made her feel relatable in a way that sneaks up on you between all the chaos and flirting. Together, they are actually ridiculous. The chemistry is insane, the tension is unbearable, and when they finally start to give in??? I was giggling, kicking my feet, twirling my hair like I was the one being romanced. And when they start dating??? OH MY GOD. I was not prepared. The shift from “I will destroy you” to “I will worship the ground you walk on”??? Inject it directly into my bloodstream. Sebastian being openly obsessed??? Maya softening just a little??? I was GONE. Also can we talk about the nickname??? Because why was it technically an insult but also the cutest thing I’ve ever heard??? Like sir, pick a lane. Are you bullying her or are you in love with her. (We know the answer.) Now the spice. Let’s discuss. Respectfully. Kind of. This book said gluttony and MEANT IT. The scenes??? Creative. Unexpected. You genuinely cannot predict what’s coming next and I loved that. It kept things fresh, it kept things fun, and it definitely kept me… engaged. Let’s just say Sebastian lives up to the title in more ways than one and leave it at that before I start acting up. The meddling grandmother??? ICON. LEGEND. She was scheming like her life depended on it and I was rooting for her every step of the way. Usually meddling characters make me want to scream into a pillow but her??? She was actually endearing and hilarious and lowkey the puppet master of everything. Now Maya’s mom and sister… yeah no. The sister especially had me ready to square up. The unsolicited advice??? The audacity??? Ma’am please find a hobby. Preferably one that does not involve speaking. And can we PLEASE take a moment to appreciate that there is NO third-act breakup. I could cry tears of joy. Actually I did cry—but for a completely different reason. THE LETTER. I am not going to spoil it but just know I was SOBBING. Like ugly crying. The kind where you have to put the book down because you can’t see through your tears. It was beautiful, emotional, and completely wrecked me in the best way. I’m getting emotional just thinking about it again which is honestly rude. I also loved where the plot went because at one point I was like “okay where are we going with this” and then Ana said “don’t worry about it” and pulled the rug out from under me in the BEST way. I was locked in. And the Kings of Sin friend group??? Still elite. There is just something about a group of powerful, slightly unhinged men who are all deeply obsessed with their women that does something to my brain chemistry. The group scenes were some of the funniest parts of the book—Killian during poker night??? I was CRYING. The humor hit exactly when it needed to after all the emotional damage. Also the cameos??? The little glimpses of past characters??? I was eating that up like it was a full-course meal. Let’s just run through the checklist because this book said yes to EVERYTHING: rivals to lovers? obviously. forced proximity? of course. he falls first??? LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK. yearning??? out of control. banter??? elite. spice??? you’re not ready. billionaire??? yes. no bed??? I saw a higher power. King of Gluttony didn’t just cook, it hosted a five-star dining experience and I showed up starving. I feasted. There are no crumbs. Sebastian certainly didn’t leave any either, interpret that however you want. This book is for the overachievers, the perfectionists, the people who overthink everything and feel everything and maybe secretly want someone to match their intensity and challenge them at every turn. I’m obsessed with Maya and Sebastian and I need everyone to read this immediately so we can scream about it together. And now I wait… very patiently… for Killian. (That was a lie. I am NOT patient. Can it be 2027 already??)

Thank you so much to the author for providing me with a free ARC. This review is entirely voluntary and reflects my own thoughts. King of Gluttony wasn’t just a book, it was an experience. It had the yearning, banter, teasing, tension and the rivalry I was expecting and more. You know a book is so good so you don’t want to finish it so soon? That’s exactly the case with KOG. I had only one small break reading it and I had some strawberries because of course how could I not. Maya and Sebastian are characters I adore and would never be able to move on from. Sebastian Laurent is the epitome of yearning, especially when I discovered the story behind the letter it just made my heart squeeze. It really got me emotional in so many ways, he’s just perfect. To be loved is to be seen, that’s exactly how Seb is when it comes to Maya. To have someone understands you, knows you inside and out, listens to you, loves you and crave you like his last breath. If my man is not like Sebastian Laurent I don’t want him. Maya Singh is THAT girl. She is exactly what I envision when I think about a confident woman who knows her priorities. I love how she’s sassy, funny and intelligent. Most of all I am proud of my girl for owning her fears. A special shoutout to Maya’s Grandma! That woman already has a fanbase and I am one of her fans 😂 Now we have one last stop into the Kings of Sin series and it just makes me emotional thinking about it. So excited for King of Lust!

Another stunning book by Ana in this series! I have absolutely devoured all the books in the king of sins series so far and this one was no different. Sebastian Laurent is the heir to a culinary empire and is used to being on top. Maya Singh is a top marketing executive at her family’s company. Maya and Sebastian have been rivals since childhood and they try to one up each other on everything. So when their families decide to collaborate and put them in charge of the whole thing they have to work together. Can they put aside their banter and work together to make a successful campaign? I loved Maya and Sebs relationship, they argue so much and have the best banter for sure. Their rivalry is off the charts! Seeing their friendship evolve over the course of the story was the best to see Maya especially as you see her inner thoughts about Sebastian change. The spice was once again up to Ana's standards, looking specifically at that stair scene (IYKYK). This book had also kept you on your toes for sure with all the stress of them working together for the launch. And to see the tender moments of both Maya and Seb really played on my heart. I also loved seeing all the characters from the previous books again to see how their life is going, I especially squealed when I saw one name appear. If you are looking for a rivals to lovers steamy romance this one is for you!
