This is a collection of erotic moments captured in pictures, by someone who actually seems to think this sort of thing should be fun. Yes, it gets a little kinky, and not all the bodies are glamor-perfect (not the problem one might think, as all the model choices seem very carefully considered), but Stuart doesn't seem so much interested in pushing the erotic envelope as finding out what's in it. And he's a pretty good photographer, in case anyone's wondering.

I would recommend this product to all that appreciate the erotic art, I would say that Roy Stuart is the best in this genre.

There were actually FOUR very different versions of this same book printed, this is the third version - find the first one. When this was first published in 1998, Taschen had no idea they'd do an entire series, so the first printing was simply called "Roy Stuart" and it is BY FAR the biggest and best edition of this book. The same book, this version is the third version printed in 2007 as "Roy Stuart Volume I" and it's smaller and with a lower printing quality than the previous two versions. Spend the extra time to find the original without the "Volume I" written on the cover, it is far superior to the later printings and the later paperback versions.That said, some people call Stuart's work "exotic" or "sexy" or any number of things, but as a photographer myself who does a pretty fair amount of boudoir and lingerie photography, be VERY aware, this is not boudoir or lingerie or pin-up photography, this is very well photographed porn - pure and simple. This is NOT a book for the meek or modest, but it's a darned impressive piece of work if you appreciate this sort of thing.

im not sure what the previous reviewer expected - perhaps "the bald and beautiful" but what stuart does extremely well is he is able to capture the raw natural form of some very lovely women. so know what you are going for .. dont get a guinness when all you like is bud!

Stuart is a superb photographer of erotic poses involving young women whose physical attributes are familiar rather than exotic, and the style and execution of his work demonstrates his ability to obtain subtle emotions from his voyeurs. Although his subjects are scantily clad, and posed with the intent to arouse, it would be unfair to label his work as pornographic, even if the arousal he obtains relates to the wilder side of erotic activity. This collection is replete with rubber-encased servants of their mistresses, and hints of erotic bondage These pictures are a delight, transcending the norm on erotic imagery.

Creative and edgy images of beautiful, naked people. Erotic photography at its best. Ideal for connoisseurs of French erotic art. Great story telling. Nothing held back but at the same time, nothing gratuitous.
