Wouldn't screw on the lens at first.
This is a good product but wouldn't screw completely on my lens. I am using it on a Canon 70-200mm L II IS Zoom. A light application of some petroleum jelly on the ring allowed the shade to screw on the lens completely. Good value for the money.

Snaps on and off easily. Because it does not have the matte/felt lining ...
Bought to protect my 70-200mm lens when I lost the original canon hood. Snaps on and off easily.Because it does not have the matte/felt lining inside I do get a circular lens flare when shooting into the sun.

Not a Tight Fit
Works with the version 2 lens, the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II, however the locking mechanism isn't very tight. It doesn't give that satisfying click like the Canon lens hood does. Still works but it rotates freely unlike the OEM hood. Not sure I want to shell out the cash for the official Canon hood when it's not that big of a deal, but this one is sort of a disappointment in the quality control department. Maybe I just got a bad copy.

Excellent Hood
The Vello ET-87 lens hood is an excellent replacement lens hood. It locks firmly into place, is well constructed and is very sturdy. It is well worth the price, in my opinion.

Works Great
Not sure what the other reviewer is talking about, but this lens hood works great. I use it on my Canon 70-200L 2.8 IS II. Sure its not the canon version but it sure works great :)I'm surprised there are not more reviews for this item...Anyways, it works much better than expected. The quality is great, and I have not one negative to say about this product.

Works as advertised. The plastic is not quite as sturdy as original, but gets the job done.
